Barb was amazing and she really knows animals! We did a meet and greet prior to leaving our 2 small dogs. I felt so comforted knowing that my dogs would get to sleep in her bed like they do at home. I will definitely use her again. Wait until you see the amazing space your pet will get to play in her fenced in yard!!

We met with Barbara yesterday so we could see if our dog would be compatible with her home. I was honestly shocked at how well things went! I rescued a Great Dane about 5 weeks ago, and she has been known to be very scared around humans, and I was worried how she would respond to a new environment. She immediately made herself at home in the beautiful yard, started initiating play with the other dogs, and was the first dog in the house when Barbara called them all inside. I can't wait for our girl to get to play with her new friends when we're away from home!

Doggie Kamp was by far the best boarding experience my German Shepherd has ever had. She had always gotten so stressed at other places and did not want to be dropped off. But she LOVED Doggie Kamp and Barbara! She was actually excited to go there. We used Doggie Kamp several times, once for a long-period boarding, and each time returned to find our dog happy and in good health. What I love: that Barbara is so familiar with dogs and runs it all personally, the dogs are not locked in a warehouse-type kennel setting but are in a home, that there is huge outdoor running and playing space for the dogs. Even though it's a bit out of the way Doggie Kamp was just what our dog needed and we felt comfortable leaving her in such good hands.

My Labrador Retriever has been boarding with Doggie Kamp since he was a puppy and he is over 12 years old now. He is extremely spoiled because he goes to the office with me, so I could never leave him in a kennel where he was locked up all day. He loves his auntie Barbara and he enjoys socializing with the other dogs. I don't feel guilty when I travel because I know he is enjoying himself, roaming around in the big yard with the other dogs and snuggling with Barbara.

Because I travel a lot, there have been times when he was recovering from a surgery or illness, and I had great confidence in Barbara's ability to follow dosing schedules or other veterinarian orders and to contact my vet if there are concerns. Now my dog is older and he is on multiple medications. Again, I trust Barbara to administer them.

My dog is so excited when we drive into the driveway at Doggie Kamp! He jumps out of the car, eager to greet his friends. I can leave and have the peace of mind that he is enjoying himself and being well cared for.

I have been taking my 2 beloved Norwegian Elkhounds to Doggie Kamp for the past year and they love it. They love Barbara's yard with all the boulders and trees to explore and it is great for them socialize with other dogs. It is such a relief to know that they are free to go inside and outside just like they do at their own home while at Doggie Kamp. They always jump right out of the car when we get Barbara's and run in to see who their new friends will be. I am very thankful to Barbara and Doggie Kamp for taking such great care of my dogs and recommend her services to anyone who is looking for a place to bring their dogs where they love going.

Barbara Nieswander's Doggie Kamp is the best place I can imagine leaving my golden retriever, Shadow, when we go out of town. Barbara treats her guest dogs like family, like her own dogs. Guest dogs have to undergo an visit/interview process to see if the dog will fit in with the resident dogs, and other guest dogs. Shadow was not comfortable around other dogs when he first started staying at Barb's, and had to learn some dog social skills. He now is comfortable around all the other dogs, but still prefers to spend his time close to Barb. There are dog doors to go in and out of the house, and a rugged outdoor fenced yard to roam with the others, enjoying being outside in CO. There are separate fenced areas for dogs that don't play well with others but still need a place to stay much more comfortable than a cage/kennel at the vet's. The house is clean and comfortable and in a quiet, out-of-the-way but close to town wooded neighborhood. Barb understands dogs, and obviously loves dogs. I highly, highly recommend Doggie Kamp for day, or overnight stays for dogs!

Barbara will yell at your dogs and kennel them! I live down the road from her I hear it all the time, she also kidnapped my dog a few years ago and and hid him for a few days to teach my girlfriend a lesson! I did not know he was getting out while I was at work! And the way she treated her horses, horrible as well. She will smile and talk nice but she has a very dark side

We have used Doggie Kamp for the past 3 years. We are extremely happy with the accommodations and service for our dog when we are traveling. Our Airedale goes to Kamp 3 - 4 times a year. He absolutely loves it and we feel good knowing he is not locked up in a kennel while we are gone, but gets to run and play in the outdoor fenced area. He is one tired pup when he comes home, but always gets excited when we make the turn when we are on our way to Kamp.
