Erik loves dogs more than people and it’s the best trait ever! You and your pups will love his high energy attitude in his quick and easy class pack. He will show you how to have a well-trained dog in four easy classes. You can complete the majority of the ‘homework’ through your daily routines with walking and 10-20 minutes training sessions. I love his methods of not using treats making it accessible for all no matter where you are with your dog. Erik is truly passionate about his work and it shows to his dedication to the dogs and their dedication to him. Highly recommend his classes. It’s so convenient for him to come to you for classes!

I contacted Eric when I realized my sweet little rescue was turning out to be not so sweet to other people and dogs. She had started acting more aggressive to just about everyone that wasn't me, and I began worrying she would bite or be bit. Upon my first meeting with Eric, I quickly learned where I had gone wrong and started learning the fundamentals to be the alpha dog that my dog needed me to be. She used to seem stressed out and never played. Now I can tell she is more relaxed and has even started some playful behavior. The picture attached shows how close she is to the two bulldogs and she was very comfortable. It's important to know that this isn't an easy fix and requires dedication to Eric's program to get the results you want. I absolutely recommend going through his training. You will find it is worth every dollar spent.

Eric is phenomenal. My spouse and I are both psychologists, and have a solid understanding of behaviorism and both classical and operant conditioning. We have previously had, and trained, other dogs as well, and in choosing a trainer for our year-old German Shepherd who was picked up off the streets, we were A.) not sure if someone would have much to teach us that we didn't already know based on our backgrounds, and B.) really wanting/needing someone who specialized in German Shepherds, given that they're higher difficulty at times. Klinger was having a ton of dog reactivity on leash, in spite of being super friendly and playful with other dogs off leash. We had tried a variety of things based on our foundations and suggestions from books, etc. It wasn't working. We had four sessions with Eric, and the amount of change across 8 weeks was phenomenal. He's not a miracle-worker, but better: he really understands why different behaviors arise, and how to shape dogs - and their humans. He is excellent with shepherds, as well - as shown in one photo, Klinger is now able to be a pet, while still having a job to do! Ideal. Klinger is a whole lot more confident on walks now. We're actually able to walk him in Wash Park (where the other photos were taken), which was impossible when we first adopted him. He would thrash and scream and leap if he saw other dogs. Eric gave us not just one, but multiple tools to help direct Klinger in a way that has made him (and us) much more comfortable. That has had the side benefit of also reducing Klinger's dog reactivity if he's in the car, which we never targeted directly. In addition, when he hears something outside the house and barks, I often just have to call him and he'll come and shelter/snuggle up beside me instead of feeling like he has to protect us. Eric is both firm and kind to his dog clients, and gives his human clients a lot of explanation and feedback, which is exactly what is needed. I would 100% recommend him. His prices also seem really reasonable for what he is able to offer, especially compared to some others in this area. Klinger is certainly not perfect at this point....yet. It's going to take us keeping up with his training, but that feels so POSSIBLE now, thanks to the guidance and help we got from Eric.

It is true that you can teach old dogs new tricks. Although, life-long dog owners, Eric provided us with many new skills and insights into owning and living with a well-trained dog. We adopted Rylee, 9-yr old Dalmatian, during the COVID pandemic. It was clear after we got him that he had never had any training, had aggression issues and was for the first time living in a city. I appreciated Eric’s methods and approach of initially working with Rylee to teach him the skills he would later have us practice. It was also valuable when Rylee was able to work with Eric’s dogs to feel comfortable and part of the ‘pack’. We are grateful to Eric for his skill, knowledge and ability to teach us how to have a relaxed and controlled experience whether around other dogs or off leash on a hiking trail. He is worth every penny!

Long story short... Our dogs are 100 lbs and 80 lbs and would take almost all my strength (280 lbs and former athlete) to hold back my dogs on walks and when the doorbell would ring, control them, etc. Below you will see my 1.5 year old daughter holding the leash during our walk with no help or hesitation from us (After 4 sessions with Eric). If you want your dog to behave and have good manners, call Eric right now and make the change. It has certainly changed our lives having well behaved dogs. They bark once when the doorbell rings and I give them one command in which they go sit and wait for me to open the door. Sounds nice right?

My wife (Kelsey) and I have full time jobs, Kelsey is getting her second MBA and as I mentioned a 1.5 year old. You have the time to teach your dogs to behave! You won't regret it!

Eric's expertise was exactly what I needed to help my furboy to be himself. Eric actually trained my dog in the first session, but had to train me in all four of them. He showed me how to handle my boy when he would display some minor inappropriate leash behavior. In the 2 months that Hoover and I worked with Eric, there has been much improvement in my boy's leash behavior. Otherwise, Hoover was a perfect gentleman when he was at daycare, hanging out at home with myself and others or getting attention from my neighbors here in my building at my condo complex. Many thanks Eric for your training techniques for me and for Hoover!

Eric was my first call when we bought our puppy. Even though we were not within his area, he was generous with his time and knowledge. We spoke for a good while and he gave us options for training in our area and gave us numerous tips to get our home ready for our new addition.
Very highly recommended.

Eric has been truly amazing to work with! We lost a member of our pack & brought in a new puppy way too soon. I called Eric as he has been highly recommended by many of our neighbors. He asked what was going on & we set an appointment time. A few months have passed now after working on walks & the stay command & we can all take a nice walk without pulling or aggressive behavior towards other dogs. I really had my doubts about training a 5 yr old dog & a puppy but Eric has completely changed our minds. Eric's knowledge of dogs & how they socialize is incomparable to anyone. I did call other trainers but all of them wanted to take our challenging dog away for a few weeks for a crazy amount of money & return him. Eric likes to work at your home with everyone who is a apart of the pack & that makes a huge difference in the outcome. Highly recommend Eric's services to anyone.
