Absolutely love training my dog here. The foundations are clearly laid out, steps taken little by little, and before you know it you and your dog are learning and succeeding. Every instructor is awesome and very informed to help every type of dog out.

I attended the puppy basics course with my five month old monster terrier mix baby and the instructors were incredibly helpful. Aside from the lessons and their structure, which was well paced and laid out, they also come around and do individual help if they see you/your pup struggling with a certain task. They also send out emails with the lessons attached the day after, so if you ever miss a class you’re still getting all of the information you need!
All in all, it’s a very fun and informative class and it was of course precious watching the puppies get to know each other. The only thing I will say is if you have a puppy who gets overexcited about other dogs like mine, they might struggle to focus—especially with all of the sports training going on—but even then the instructors try to help with that too!

We have had a blast this past year going through the sport puppy/pre-agility foundations, obstacles, and handling series at DePaw. It’s been a fantastic way to raise my first agility dog, not just in agility itself, but also in building a strong bond on and off the field. I also loved watching the shy/nervous dogs gain confidence and start having fun! Our instructors (Debbie, Marilyn, and Cassie) are all so knowledgeable in modern training methods and the curriculum is very organized.
I highly recommend DePaw, whether you are serious about competing in agility or just want to train your dog for fun!

DePaw has been an outstanding experience for us and our beloved corgi. We have been taking Fig to classes since she was four months old. We cannot recommend this place enough! If you are even remotely interested in dog sports or obedience classes this is the place for you! We have now taken puppy foundations, advanced puppy, obedience foundations, advanced obedience, pre-agility foundations and now obstacles foundations. We will be continuing after this as well!!

We enjoyed the puppy class but were a little disappointed that there was really only one other pup in the class regularly. I've already been doing the training with our pup at home, so the purpose of going to the class was just socializing with other puppies and working on training with more distractions. Cassie, the trainer, helped by bringing Apollo, her young adult Aussie, but I had hoped for a larger class.

We’ve really enjoyed our time with DePaw. We’ve been taking our Gsd since he was a puppy and we don’t plan to stop anytime soon. We’ve taken several of the classes from puppy foundations to obedience to agility and many in between. The instructors are great to work with, the classes are affordable and well constructed, and the outcomes have been great for us. We dont plan on “competing”and didn’t have huge expectations, initially, however, we’ve really come to enjoy the homework and the level of bonding it has created with our pup. We’re constantly looking for more activities to do with our dogs and DePaw has really been helpful in keeping our Gsd sharp. If you enjoy spending time with your dog/ puppy, it’s certainly a sound investment to enroll in a weekly class.

We’ve been taking agility classes at DePaw for the past 3+ years and love it! All the instructors are amazing and the facility is perfect for our needs! We love it so much we started our second pup in puppy classes last year with Debbie Vogel (she’s awesome) and he has moved through the different series and is almost ready for Comp A. The facility is indoors and air conditioned which is needed during the Texas summers and Texas crazy weather! We are very happy to have found DePaw!

Having been involved in agility for over 20 years, I am familiar with the training techniques that have been used for years. After taking these classes, I have learned much more. Agility is ever changing, and the instructor at DePaw, Debbie Vogel, showed me new an innovating techniques. I highly recommend them for agility training.
