There is no other tropical fish supplier online that I trust as much as Dan’s. I have been watching him on YouTube for years, and I know how meticulous he is about caring for and quarantining fish before selling. Speaking of shipping, nobody does it better! I just received 8 German Blue and 9 Electric Blue Rams last week, and all arrived healthy and active. His staff is also very well trained and helpful. Plus, you receive a response to emails in a timely manner. Don’t hesitate to buy from Dan!

First time order through DansFish, they kill it on the customer service. I ordered these gobies and usually people just pack them all in one bag but they were ALL packed individually and then somehow sealed? The packing is impressive, really impressive. Guess it’s easy to offer live arrival guarantee when the fish always arrive alive. Seems like the have the widest variety and biggest selection of fish also. Order from these guys, they have it figured out.

I order from Dans Fish when the local breeders or wholesalers at my LFS have shown me that certain fish aren’t in good shape. Today, I received cardinal tetras and celestial pearl danios and they’re all fat and sassy. They shipped overnight from Wyoming to northwest Indiana; and despite the heat index in both locations, the water was a perfect temp. I would give 6 stars if I could.

I’ve ordered over 150 fish from Dan’s, most of them available for less at my LFS, and buying from my LFS doesn’t come with UPS overnight shipping costs. So ask me why I pay extra time and time again? Because my LFS gets the fish in and immediately puts them in display tanks. They’ll sell me fish five minutes after they land in their tanks. If you want to buy fish that way go ahead and enjoy watching them drop, day by day. I got tired of constantly having fish fade off less than a month later or finding out they need meds and having to scramble to save what I can. Dan’s keeps their stock in quarantine for a minimum of two weeks they have a lab and diagnostic professionals on staff. The take gill scrapings, etc of every order that lands, if the fish need meds they know exactly what they are treating for and use the proper medication. You get healthy fish packed in individual bags, should one not survive the shipping process it only affects the water in that bag.

I see people moan and groan about the higher than average price. Dan’s fish gives the highest level of service available in the industry. If you can’t see the value in that then you’re not one of us and should probably stick to rolling the dice at your LFS, they need customers too. Those of us that value service, quality and high ethical standards for the treatment of a living creatures will continue to realize that the extra cost is actually a savings in the long run.

Best fish I have ever gotten on line or in store matter of fact. I purchased 12 rummy nose tetras and a true siamese algae eater about 6 months ago all are still doing very well and I never had to treat them for anything.
