Weā€™ve taken our dogs to Country Critters (CC) for almost 20 years. The grooming is done by experienced staff. The owner is a Show Dog winner! We currently have four Cocker Spaniels of different ages, and they come home looking beautiful. We donā€™t want perfection, we expect kindness, love, and a job well done. The two dogs before them, were approximately 15 years old when I first took them to CC. They lived to 18 & 19 years of age and were treated with sweetness. Our younger dogs are spunky and they go into the ā€œSalonā€ without prompting. We keep going back for a reasonā€¦

Iā€™ve been taking my dog here for 15 years. So she is old and does need a little patience. Theyā€™ve always been okay but the past couple times Iā€™ve gotten my dog back sheā€™s bleeding and has a half finished cut. The last time I picked her up they had cut her in multiple places and her foot was bleeding profusely. They told me they couldnā€™t finish her haircut because ā€œshe wouldnā€™t let themā€. They put her foot into corn starch to ā€œstop the bleedingā€ so they could send her home and it was then our problem. She bled all over the car on the ride home. They didnā€™t clean the wound or anything. It has completely traumatized my dog and is unforgivable. They only want your money and want to spend AT MOST an hour. Take your money and dog somewhere else, literally anywhere else.

I've been going here for about 7 years and I will say this. They have always groomed my dog very well, but i will not be returning on account of the rude treatment from the owner. I had never met her before (to my knowledge) and she was extremely rude to me. She lectured me on how I needed to bring my dog in more often and put her hands in my face counting the months it had been since I had brought her in. 1st of all that's not how you speak to anyone let alone a paying customer. 2end we leave her hair long in the winter months because she is outside a lot and loves to play in the snow. I dont want my baby to freeze. 3rd if it was a problem then why in the 7 years was it never mentioned that they wanted me to bring her in more often. I usually go around every 6months or so, which maybe is a bit long, but she hates going and I do bathing and trims for her in between. You can tell by the responses the owner gives to bad reviews that they are not nice people. It's a shame I'll be finding a new place after so long, but I won't pay someone who doesn't treat their customers right. I'm sure she will have something to say about this review too.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. This was One of the worst grooming expiriances we have ever had. My dog is old and needs breaks everyonce in a while, I informed the employee about this. When I went to pick up my dog the employee told me that the cut they gave my dog was the best they could do, since he needed breaks.I understood the situation but I was appauled when I saw my dog. My dog is a fluffy labradoodle, so we asked for a teddy beat cut, that is not what we got. He was completley shaven bald, including his tail. The only thing they left was his ears, which looked ungroomed. My once fluffy dog looks like a starving rat. Never going there again. Weā€™re Disgusted. Not to mention the man who I talked to was rude and arrogant. We talked at length to someone about what we wanted and it was completley ignored. They shaved my dog bald out of pure laziness. They then did the same to my grandmotherā€™s dog. Terrible company.

(This is 2023 now as I have no way to reply to the owner)
I remember vividly the groomer not being the most kind person. The owners was not there so Iā€™m not sure how they can defend his attitude.
We never allowed my elderly labradoodle to get mats, we brushed him weekly or more (This was a very cherished pet).
Itā€™s very disappointing that a business would defend a groomer who leaves elderly pets with red spots and literal cut marks. I am disgusted and it makes me emotional to this day that we allowed this to happen.
An 18 year old high schooler is not going to go into a store to argue with an adult who clearly is not willing to take responsibility for major issues such as allowing harm to the animals they are supposed to be taking care of. This is not the only review I have read where this has happened at your business.

They did an outstanding job on my Husky. He was so happy after getting everything done. Staff was very friendly and loving. Have never felt his coat so soft, he already is a cutie and came out looking even cuter. Go see Country Critters

I have been taking my dog to country critters for over 9 yrs, she says 6 but I have lived in my home for 9 yrs and took her to miss nancy while she still worked from her home on some ranch or something she did it from her garage my mom can testify to that.I took my dog in and specifically asked her nails be cut and tummy shaved. When I picked my dog up she was limping very badly, yes she is an elderly dog, but her nails had not been cut nor tummy shaved only a 1 inch strip, which I clearly asked they shave her entire tummy. They shaved her back end to where it looked funny
I took my dog to the vet which at that time the vet said her professional opinion was her nails were 3 monthes growth. At that time I requested my money back a groomer should do as the client pays for.The doctor even advised me to take pics of her feet. Which couldn't at that time. Miss nancy wrote me a very hatefull letter with my refund, Bottom line is they did not do as I asked . I have had to take my dog back in twice since using nancy. Once for her nails once to have tummy shaved more. I would never take my animal there again.....annie

AJ Is the best groomer. I tried another groomer in town and it was a disaster. I never thought my Dogs could look so bad-as soon as they look normal again I will take them back to Country Critters.

Akela is my Mi-Ki Mixed with Pomeranian baby, she is black and has unusual fur and my groomer AJ treated her like the princess she is and made sure she smelled good, teeth brushed, and her cut made her look so special. I love the way Akela pranced afterwards. Thank you AJ, Your the best
