Dave is an amazing trainer he has had my two hard headed chessies and they are hunting machines now. I leave them there during the summer so they can get the discipline then need and are ready to be run all winter long. With Dave’s training I no longer have to go after my own birds and no longer lose birds. From blind retrieves to long marks and even triples my dogs now do it all. Dave is an awesome trainer who has many years as well as patience to deal with the dogs. I have known him now 3 years and have never seen him lose his cool with a dog like you see a lot of other trainers doing. I can not say enough good words about this kennel. Thanks again Dave!!

Can’t say enough good things about Dave and his assistants at Colorado Gun Dogs. They’ve had my lab in their hunting dog program since he was 6 months old. Now just over 10 months, you can tell, he is going to be a hunting machine. On to some advanced stuff before the basic program is technically finished! We often hear the phrase that dogs are the best judge of character. You can see that in the way every dog Dave trains, responds to him and genuinely loves the work and training he provides. He knows his stuff. They trust him. I trust him with my dog. You should too.

We dropped our 12 month old lab off with Dave for 3 1/2 months of training and just got her back last week. She’s working wonderfully for us! Dave put the best foundation on her and she’s ready to hunt ducks and pheasants. It’s amazing to watch her go into work mode from rambunctious puppy mode! She’s so focused on her job and loves retrieving. Dave really cares about the dogs he trains and follows up with you after to continue giving training tips and advice over the phone. We’re extremely happy with our dog and would take future dogs to Dave for training.

Brought our 9 mo. Labrador Retriever to Dave for 2 months and was nothing but impressed! Dave did exactly what he said he would and made our dog Bentley a hunting machine.
