Dr. Pierce and his staff are fantastic humans. As a former ER tech who was traveling far from home, I rushed my cancer ridden dog into the clinic today assuming the worst. Not only were they accommodating of our need to be away from other dogs, but from the moment I walked in you could tell they all truly cared about me and my dog. Dr. Pierce was timely, proficient, patient and incredibly helpful through an extremely sensitive situation. Thank goodness my pup is home and recovering from what seems to be a neurological episode. I can’t thank them enough for setting my mind and heart at ease today and saving us from having to drive all the way back to CSU. Added bonus, the prices were way more affordable than I expected. If you’re considering a new clinic or have an urgent vet care need, I highly recommend checking out collegiate peak veterinary hospital.

Traveling with our beloved Abbott, our 16 year old Poodle, he had become very ill while en route to Buena Vista. We knew we were living on borrowed time with him but making "that" final decision is so very hard.

Being very far from home (Austin, TX) we reached out to a vet in Buena Vista to finally have Abbott put down. This vet told us he would come out to our Aunt' property to euthanize him. Boy was this a hard point to come to yet so grateful that he would actually come to our home and not stress Abbott out further.

Hours later the vet called to say he could not come, was going to go out of town for the Labor Day weekend with his wife instead! (I will provide HIM with a review later...this was Buena Vista Animal Hospital, and the doctor was Dr. Kettering by the way).

Emotionally beat up, calling a few other local vets who did not have time for Abbott or us, we called Collegiate Peaks Veterinary Hospital.

EVERY SINGLE PERSON at this business, treated us as if we and our ailing animal were the most important people to call upon their practice that day. Doctor Pierce had a very full schedule but moved things around to make time for Abbott to humanely be put to sleep. We were worked in within an hour and tended to immediately but encouraged to take the time WE needed to emotionally prepare.

The vet at Buena Vista Veterinary (Dr. Kettering) to this date has still yet to return our phone call. Dr. Pierce and his team were the answer to our small family's prayers and we will forever be grateful.

Camping in the area when my dog got a terriable GI inflammation on a Sunday afternoon After calling a Vet closer on Monday , was told they were full all week with no concern I had a sick dog , I called this office after seeing their reviews. From the sweet lady that answered the phone and so concerned and said they would get my baby in to the amazing Medical Tech that took her history and started the assessment process to Dr Pierce that was so thorough and took so much time to make sure I understood and felt comfortable with treatment plan I felt like I was at a major medical hospital in all aspects. He even called me after I left to make sure he had explained one of the labs and need for follow up when he got home He wanted to make sure I brought her back if worsened or didn’t improve. BV and area are so blessed to have Dr Pierce and his staff Also , I did have a lot test done , and meds and food but pricing was not at all outrageous Very very reasonable THANK YOU

My anxious boy is not a fan of anyone, but Dr. Pierce and his team are calm and so great with him! We've had to go twice and both times he and his staff were extremely thorough and helpful. I cant recommend them enough. We are very lucky to have him in town.

Highly recommend this clinic for all pet owners in the Buena Vista area, and beyond. We were visiting and our pup, Louie, became fairly sick in short order. Despite not having any open appointment times on the day we called, Dr. Pierce and his team agreed to diagnose and treat our little man throughout the day. The entire staff couldn't have been more accommodating, friendly and welcoming to our sick guy despite being so busy. We hope to see anyone from the hospital on the trails someday soon so they can say hi to Louie once again! Thank you!

Dr. Pierce and team (can't remember names at the moment) were kind and loving with our Tuxedo cat Twinkle. We brought him in today and unfortunately he passed on the table but they did try their best. Definitely was not planning on dealing with this today but these kind folks helped a lot.

So grateful for Dr. Pierce and his team! We met because my 8 year old Chihuahua mix got caught in some barbed wire and needed stitches. He was able to see her quickly and cared so well for her. They really showed up for us. Thank you.

A few weeks ago my grandma and I brought in our cat, Marble, because she hadn't been feeling well or eating enough. Her problem turned out to be kidney failure; the doctor was honest with us about the low likelihood of success for the available treatment options, so we decided to put Marble down. She was 19. The doctor and staff were very compassionate and transparent through the whole process, making Marble's transition as easy as possible. They gave us time to say goodbye, and even sent us a sympathy card later. Thanks for making my worst day in recent memory as easy as it could have been.
