My puppy, Thorin, and I have had a wonderful experience here. We’ve used two different vets within the office and have had a great experience with both. The front desk associates are friendly and I feel we’ve received great care.

I also appreciate the proactiveness of the vets. I recently had a stomach obstruction scare and we saw Dr. Hoyt. He was very understanding and compassionate, and did not pressure me to obtain more expensive services (though did so on my own accord for my peace of mind lol).

I also feel the wellness plan is a fantastic value for what you get, especially if you have a puppy or kitten! I have not experienced any overpriced services between a parasite treatment and X-rays.

I have three other dogs and plan to start bringing them here as well 🫶🏽

Thorin and I say thank you for being awesome!

Im sure this place is great for kenneling your dog, I wouldn't know, but in my observation thats a huge amount of their clients and they seem happy with it. While about 3 members of the staff have been consistantly friendly I always seem to get someone lately with an attitude that put me on hold for longer than the drive time it takes to get from one end of the Quad Cities to the other. I waited in for my prescription to be filled for 2 hours (after being on hold for a half hour and having to drive in to just speak to someone) come to find they were sitting up there for god knows how long (no one had been to or from the desk in 45minutes). I tried to call earlier that day for a combined half hour of hold time to get treated poorly when I had the audacity to mention "My break is up, I just need a prescription refill."
I have seen 2 of their veterinarians now for my dogs condition, both told me different things. Neither of them listened to pre existing conditions or offered any advice as to what was plaguing my dog or how to help a senior dog.
I've watched and experienced several instances where a client was quoted one number and checked out to a higher number. I kept my mouth shut and politely paid the higher price. I understand, there are miscommunication. The other client was understandably not so happy.
I use to love this place but the last 4 months Ive had to come in Im treated like a second class citizen and Ive never given any reason to do so. I understand you're busy. I understand you're probably underpaid and understaffed but no one deserves to be treated so rudely that they the bar is to be treated half as well as they greet the dogs.

Edit: Even in the reviews theres a lot of client blaming. Most of the bad reviews are aligned with mine and this has been over the course of years. There's clearly a friendliness issue with some of the staff. I understand how exhausting service work is, but client care is important and not all of us are snotty "Karen" types. Most of us are worried and anxious about our pets while trying to hold it all together and the tone of "Well we're busy, I dont know what to tell you."

I have a pomapoo I can’t see taking Copper anywhere else for the care he gets there. The package deal that I’m signed up for covers most all of his care for the year. It’s a great deal and is easy on the wallet. I would not be able to have a dog if it wasn’t for the economical monthly fee that covers most of his cost. Everyone is always so friendly there and they’re always happy to see Copper.

After being turned away from an emergency office in our area we called City Line and they had us come in. After labs and some fluids they had our puppy back to himself! The price was perfect and the care was as absolutely top level.

City Line is not my normal vet as it's a bit of a drive for me from DeWitt, but whenever I can't get into my regular vet or something pops up on a weekend, I come here. I'm very glad we have a walk in option in the area, it's so convenient and helps to avoid going into the emergency vet. I've always had a good experience with their care and service here. Thank you for being here to help!

I’m super disappointed in taking my cat here. My cat started having seizures after 8 years of not having them. I took her in and the options were put her to sleep or blood work to see if she started to develop an underlying condition. I was told I’d get a call Saturday since I did the send out labs. I spent over $250 to do this. I asked the doctor before the labs if she was in pain or discomfort and I was reassured no, she’s happy and purring after them.. The doctor did say if Tig started to have more than 2 seizure's a day she needed to go to the emergency room vet. My cat started having them every 2 hours after the blood work. We ended up putting her to sleep that next morning. While waiting at the ER they were every 3-5 minutes. Even while she was being sedated she was still having them. I never got the call about her blood work. I waited a week and I finally called them.. I was told the doctor that did the labs wasn’t in and she’d call me. I asked if it was possible to get a refund since I never got a call about the labs and my cat died the next day. They told me no because they used their supplies… They sent me a sympathy card.. still no lab results.. I have gotten my cat remans back.. still no call from city lines. At this point I feel like they made a easy $200 from my dying cat that could have just been put to sleep in the first place and I wouldn’t have spent over $600 to save her. Still weeks later I never heard from city lines.

My cat was correctly diagnosed with diabetes over Labor Day weekend, however instead of just giving the cat very simple appetite stimulant and insulin this veterinary clinic insisted on keeping the cat overnight which very much added to my bill. The total bill amounted to $1270.26 and the cat still refused to eat. Since i was at work my wife went in to pick up our cat and pay our bill. Upon paying my wife noticed other customers with similar very high bills and she advised them of a reasonably priced vet clinic in Davenport. Cityline`s response to our protest of an extremely high bill was to suspend my account and ban me from requesting another vial of insulin which my cat was in dire need of when the original was dropped and broken.
My response to this fiasco was to contact my old farm vet Walcott veterinary clinic in Walcott Iowa. Dr Knox immediately treated my cat, correctly diagnosed his issues and my cat responded immediately. Today my cat is healthy and thriving and the bill was only $160. They had no problem refilling his prescription insulin as well. The entire staff there is professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend Walcott Vet Clinic and do not recommend Cityline vet clinic at all.

They have been super amazing. I had a male cat at the beginning of the year who had a really bad uti. They helped every step of the way to make his passing easier on me. Today very last minute I called freaking out because I decided it was time for a new beautiful boy. Got home and and seen he had a passed a little bit of blood. They didn’t hesitate to tell me to bring him in. Now my fluffy but is at home sleeping and drinking a little water.
