When we first adopted Lenny, he wasn't very well socialized with other dogs and prone to leash aggression. Gabriel came to us highly recommended and we have been totally astounded at this help. He taught Lenny how not to pull on the leash and has introduced him to a great pack. His socialization skills have greatly improved and Lenny even helps out with new shy dogs! I can't thank Gabriel enough.

He and his team don't just walk the dogs - they really care for them and get to know them. When we moved to a new apartment, the first thing Jake said is "Lenny is going to love this place..." Always thinking of the dogs first! I love the emailed messages and map after each afternoon walk. They are the highlight of my work day!

We loved walking with City Dog Strut! Our 1 yr old mini dachshund had the best time walking with the other dogs and became very friendly with them. Gabriel is incredibly flexible and easy to work with and the walkers on the team are well trained. We received an email with notes after each walk, and sometimes got pictures of the pups on their walks. Unfortunately we moved out of the neighborhood and had to stop using City Dog, and we've noticed a decline in our dog's behavior now that we've used other walkers. If Gabriel expanded to our neighborhood we would join the pack again as fast as possible!

Website is easy to use and billing/payment is simple and fast. Would definitely recommend!

We were first time dog parents and so had a lot to learn about handling a dog and Gabriel was super patient with us and our dog. We learned a lot about walking and controlling our dog and making life easier and more fun for all of us. We have a great dog whom we love tons and we are very grateful to Gabriel for teaching us how to enjoy him more and make him happier as well. The dog walking service is wonderful--our dog always walks with friends, which he enjoys and as a bonus, the pictures of all the doggies enjoying their walks are super cute!

Gabriel and the rest of the folks at City Dog Strut are amazing. They've been walking our dog for over a year. He's not the easiest dog to deal with and they've been tremendous in helping him with his behavior. There was a dog down the hall that he didn't get along with at all and on their first day they had them playing together. Gabriel is really easy to reach and super flexible when it comes to changing our dog's schedule. I'd highly recommend City Dog Strut for training and walks.

City Dog Strut was recommended to us by our previous dog walker who felt that his behavioral issues were more than they could handle, and I'm forever grateful for the recommendation. I can't say enough great things about Gabriel and his team! Our dog, Winston, can be a real challenge out on the streets. He is extremely reactive towards bikes and has never successfully mastered the art of walking politely on a leash despite attempts at private training, group classes, and lots of money spent on different harnesses and leashes. Gabriel is an exceptionally insightful and patient trainer and has worked with us to help Winston overcome some of his outdoor anxieties. We still have work to do, but the techniques Gabriel has shared have definitely made a difference, and he has been incredibly encouraging and patient along the way. I've also had the opportunity to see Winston with his regular walker, Felipe, and have been amazed at the calming presence he has with our dog. Cannot recommend highly enough.

When I first met Gabriel in November 2015 my 10-year old dog Larry pretty much refused to walk more than half a block, at most. He has always been lazy and stubborn but his arthritis has made it more difficult for him to move around, and the fact that he wasn't exercising made everything worse. It was obvious from the first meeting that Gabriel was very experienced and understood how to work with my dog. Almost immediately Gabriel and Jake got Larry walking around the block daily. Within two weeks Larry had lost a significant amount of weight that the neighbors and vet were both impressed/surprised by. Since then Larry went from having to stop several times on that walk to rest to doing it nonstop. I feel like I got my old dog back. He's lost about 8 lbs which has made it easier for him to move and for the first time in over a year we're able to go on real walks. Gabriel also gave me tips on how to walk with Larry on my own which was helpful. I cannot say enough good things about his service. Larry now walks with Dany who is great and I love that I get an email every time the walk begins and ends, with a note.

Gabriel visited us before we brought our new pup home and has been our guide in dog ownership and our dog walker for the last 2 1/2 years. We tried other trainers who were simply treat dispensers. Gabriel helped us understand our dog and what she thinks. He has never missed a day or failed to answer a call when we didn't know what to do or how to handle our canine baby, who is, btw, maturing into a very, very good dog. Gabriel is indispensable. Highly recommended.

We stumbled upon Gabriel in Fort Greene Park working with another couple and their dog. My wife and I had recently adopted a 6 month old rescue with some serious separation anxiety issues, and we asked Gabriel if he could help.

Gabriel is one of the nicest guys you will meet. He's really understanding of your situation and tries to listen to you. He not only showed us how to help manage and work with our little furbaby, but would explain the reasoning and logic behind it. We did a lot of work, not only in home, but also walking along the street. He even arranged for us to have our dog meet with other dogs he worked with in order to help our puppy learn how to properly greet other dogs.

I don't want to say he's like the famous dog trainer on TV, but he has such a way with dogs, one can hardly keep from drawing the similarities. His pricing is reasonable for the value you get with his one one one training. I highly recommend using him for any of your training needs.
