Both my dogs have come home from this groomer wounded.
The first incident my female had burns in her “sanitary” area from the hot trimmer. She also developed a scab on the top of her head where I assume she was cut or nicked from scissors.
When I called to inquire what had happened and why I wasn’t made aware of her injuries. The owner excused it and offered only an apology.
I understand accidents can happen. So, I gave her the benefit of the doubt.
Now most recently, my older male developed two scapes about the size of a quarter on the back and side of his neck after going to this groomer. Upon investigation, they were oozing. I took him to our vet and found that he had a staph infection which required a 7 day treatment of antibiotics. I left the vet and immediately went to the groomer to inquire what happened to my dog while in her care. Again, I received nothing but an apology with no explanation. She didn’t even ask to see him, nor did she show any compassion to the situation.
I cancelled all future appointments with her and I recommend that you do the same.
