I’ve owned a CC from Shauna now for 7 years. She’s a wonderful dog and Shauna is a wonderful person and breeder. She cares a whole lot about her dogs, who is affiliated with her dogs (i.e. who she allows to own one), and the future of the breed. The temperament and beauty of the dogs produced is unmatched. I see plenty of reviews bashing how unresponsive she is and I couldn’t disagree more. I’ve reached out plenty of times over the years for information and advice and have never waited more than a couple days for a response. For those complaining that she wouldn’t let them own a dog, that just proves how much she cares about the situation the animals will be in. There are plenty of less reputable and less caring breeders of CC out there. That’s where the stories of aggressive and dangerous CC come from. Those breeders care about money more than the environment and lives their dogs will live. Shauna has plenty of dogs that go to homes where they are trained in various work and titles. My dog is the best dog I’ve ever had and I could only wish she lived as long as we do. You can’t go wrong with a Castelguard dog, but the ownership could be wrong. I’m glad Shauna allowed us to own one of these marvelous dogs, I’m grateful beyond measure. I’ve also personally visited her kennels and they are outstanding. She truly sets a high bar for all other breeders out there!

I bought my dog from Castleguard almost five years ago! He is healthy, intelligent and has an outstanding disposition!!! I would never buy another Cane Corso from any other breeder! Castleguard knows this breed inside and out and take precautions to breeding the best Cane Corsos available! Highly recommended!!!

Well bred gorgeous Cane Corso dogs from a breeder that has poured decades of dedication into the breed - and an incredible facility. I've had multiple CastleGuard dogs in my home, visited in person many times over the years, been hands on with almost all her dogs, and am blessed to count Shauna and Merle among my friends. CastleGuard is top-notch to work with, and the breeder that will be there for the life of your pup with help and support. She's gone above and beyond to assist, even with dogs not her own.

We welcomed our Cane Corso to the family back in 2012 and had a pleasant experience in dealing with Shauna. After a brief conversation, her knowledge and passion for the breed sold us, we knew a Castleguard Cane Corso would be the perfect fit for us. Our girl had a long and healthy life, passing 3 months shy of her 11th birthday. She had a calm demeanor, was gentle with our little ones, very smart and loyal to her family. Anyone who met her instantly fell in love (even those with a fear of dogs).

When our hearts are ready, there's no where else we would look to for another Corso. Thank you for the best companion we could have ever dreamed of having!

I don’t have a dog from CastleGuard but I spoke to Shauna years ago about the breed. She was nothing but kind, professional and informative.

This is not a dog breed for those living in apartments. An environment where strangers are always coming in and out of narrow corridors would be a nightmare for this guardian breed. The review complaining about Shauna declining to sell a pup to that person is idiotic and her decision was justified.
