I had a phenomenal experience doing private sessions with our trainer Joel. He is patient, extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher. My 7 year old German Shepherd has been reactive to people since he was a puppy. I live in the city and felt like I went through every trainer out here. I was also rejected by many trainers in the city who did not know how to help my dog. In the 7 trainers I worked with none met the standards my dog and I needed. Then, I heard about COC by a friend who brought three of their dogs here. I drive an hour out each week for this training and it is well worth it every time. Joel, our trainer, is truly a blessing. The amount of growth, bonding and fun me and my dog had over these past few weeks have been an experience I will cherish forever. We will be moving to advanced classes now and I am so excited! If you put in the work, trust your trainer and follow through at home you will see a difference. Training is not just for your dog but for you too. You need to be committed and disciplined. From my experience with Joel I can confidently tell you if it is not working it is not your dog or the trainer, but most likely your inability to be the leader at home. I will forever be grateful to Joel and COC. Thank you for providing me the tools to be the best dog owner, not just to my current dogs but my future dogs too.

The trainer used fear tactics and pain compliance in training. I was there for leash walking only. No behavioral issues at all but I had made it extremely clear to the lady I spoke with as well as the trainer that my dog had severe anxiety that our vet and I were working on. The trainer took no time to meet my dog before dragging him by the leash attached to a pinch. I was told my dogs will attack me at some point because I let them on the furniture and that my dogs anxiety was a sign of dominance. I’ve owned dogs my whole life as well as fostered over 15 dogs the last couple years and what I was being told is complete nonsense. Their thought process is archaic and I don’t believe they actually know what they are doing. My dog came out with injuries on his neck. Text to the owners wife (?) go unanswered. Do yourself a favor and find a trainer that knows what they are talking about and doesn’t rely on abuse to train dogs.

We take classes here.. they are reasonably priced and the trainers are amazing.. we are in advanced obedience.. we do real life scenarios and a lot fun training..

I've been a dog owner my whole life and have been to many trainers. COC is by far the best no nonsense training that I have ever found. They can work with any dog and you will be amazed at the results.

Please DO NOT send your dog here! We had a life altering experience with Canine Obedience College that nearly cost us our young puppy’s life and severely damaged us both emotionally and financially. Our healthy 7 month old golden retriever puppy, Oliver, was dropped off on the night of Friday, August 13th for their 2 week “bootcamp” program to attempt to correct his typical puppy tendencies. By Monday August 16th, just 3 days later, Oliver was rushed to the dog 24/7 emergency veterinary by Canine Obedience College where Oliver was fighting for his life. Oliver ended up staying at the 24/7 emergency vet for 8 days and was treated for heat stroke which developed under the care of Canine Obedience College. Months later Canine Obedience College has taken no responsibility for the incident described below and has simply stopped communicating with us after attempts to come to an agreeable conclusion to the incident.We cannot express more emphatically how disappointed we are in Darryl, Lisa, and Canine Obedience College as a whole for what they have put us through and the financial damage they have caused us. Please do not put your dog at risk by entrusting their well being in the care of Canine Obedience College.

To this day, Canine Obedience College has not responded to our multiple letters sent over a month ago, emails, phone calls, or texts. While legal action has been contemplated, we are a young couple trying to save up for our first home and cannot afford the risk of potentially losing even more money. We cannot express more emphatically how disappointed we are in Darryl, Lisa, and Canine Obedience College as a whole for what they put Oliver through and for the financial damage they have caused us. Please do not put your dog at risk by entrusting their well being in the care of Canine Obedience College and please feel free to share Oliver’s story so we can help prevent this from happening to other dogs going forward.

They are absolutely amazing i highly recommend. My dog came back so calm. Better manners, most importantly taught you how to be a better trainer to your dog which is what it’s all about. Daryl is very educated and is thorough and willing to explain and help you.
