We got June at Bradshaw animal shelter and knew we wanted to get her trained. June is a happy, energetic, and wild pup. When started the puppy training series at Canefida Canine LLC, she was very scared and defensive. Each week she got more and more comfortable and began really shining. She got to make friends and loves to play. She benefitted from the reward based training, and loved to work. We cannot thank Heidi enough!

When I adopted my rescue dog from the SPCA, I had no idea she was reactive and aggressive to other dogs and strangers. At home with myself and my boyfriend, she was so sweet and loving, but whenever we tried taking her out in the world, even just to walk around the neighborhood, she was unmanageable. I was so overwhelmed by what we had unknowingly taken on. I'd never had a reactive or aggressive dog before, but I was determined not to take her back to the shelter (she had already been returned twice over her life!) During our first meeting with Heidi, I quite litterally cried because I felt so overwhelmed.

Heidi gave us so much knowledge and so many tools that I can never thank her enough. Because of Heidi's help and expertise, Mocha is now the happiest dog! We have learned to better understand her behavior and read her body language. We better understand her unique needs and fears. Mocha now can safely and happily go for walks around the neighborhood, and hop in the car and explore around parks and around the city SAFELY and with confidence! She has a circle of trusted humans, and can meet new people in a safe and structured way in her home. Our neighbors have even complimented her improvement and jokingly ask if we can help with their dogs! But the credit goes to Heidi for sharing her vast knowledge with us and for guiding us in a way that prioritized Mocha's well being, and helping her to have success in her new life with us! I wish every family and every dog had someone advocating for them like Heidi.

We really enjoyed the puppy training with Heidi. It's been a great learning process for both us humans and our lovely puppy. Our puppy has really benefitted from both the socializing with other puppies and the brain stimulation. We would recommend the classes for everyone with a puppy. It's so important to ensure you bring a happy balanced puppy into adulthood.

We are a few weeks into group dog training classes with Heidi and we are so glad we found her. She's so patient and calm which has been welcomed as a Type A human with a high energy dog. She's given me confidence to work with my dog in class and resources on how to keep the training going at home. We engaged Heidi to help socialize and train our 4-year-old rescue dog, Margo. Margo was brought to the United States from Iran, arriving with paralyzing anxiety around strangers, a condition possibly linked to a botched ear cropping. A DNA test later revealed that Margo, initially thought to be a mix of Corgi and Shiba Inu, is actually a West Asian Village dog. This means she has no specific modern breed, having evolved on the streets for survival with minimal human intervention. Under Heidi’s expert guidance, Margo has undergone a remarkable transformation. Heidi’s patient and understanding approach has enabled Margo to master a variety of commands and tricks, significantly boosting her confidence. Notably, Margo has become much more relaxed and now exhibits curiosity around strangers rather than freezing in fear, as was her initial behavior. She is now a happy dog who lights up with joy whenever she sees Heidi. We are immensely grateful for Heidi’s dedication and ongoing support throughout Margo’s journey. For anyone seeking a skilled and empathetic trainer, especially for dogs with challenging backgrounds, we cannot recommend Heidi highly enough.

Heidi started training Murphy when he was just a pup. She came to our home and worked with us and Murphy in his/our environment and made great recommendations and suggestions from potty training, to recall, socializing, diet, living with two cats and much more. Heidi is very patient and calm with the us and our dog. She has a gentle and supportive approach that reinforces safe and positive behavior. No yelling, no yanking, no punishing training- it’s positive reinforcement and understanding what our dog is wanting - helping us to better communicate with him. I love that she will walk around a park or neighborhood to observe and offer helpful suggestions to address behaviors we’re trying to work thru.
