Hands down the best decision we could have made for our Maui boy! Desiree took our 2.5yr old anxious, magnet Great Dane in for a 3 week board & train and he came back a completely different dog. He is more confident and comfortable than I could have ever imagined. I can take him places without a single worry in mind. Desiree has become a staple in our home. If we ever have a question, she is the first person I’m calling. I know he is always safe in their home and couldn’t be more thankful for their services!

Desireé was awesome to work with! My 1 yr old mini Bernedoodle (Enzo) needed help with greeting manners and recall, in particular. He completed training 2 months ago (participated in 2 week board/train) and has been doing great! Total game changer… we continue to practice commands on a regular basis and he listens so well. Can’t believe it’s the same dog. Desireé was very patient with my pup and with me! She has a very gentile nature about her that puts you at ease handing over your baby to her for a couple of weeks. Practice is key… the trainers set a strong foundation, but you’ve got to put in the work when you get them home. Practicing commands will definitely pay off. We can go through stores now with him being off leash, and I don’t worry about him not listening or jumping on strangers. I can actually enjoy my dog rather having to apologize to everyone for his lack of manners. I appreciate that she has stayed in touch and allows me to ask questions any time I have them. My parents were so impressed that they sent their dog through the same program with Desireé. Our family can’t say enough good things about Camp Lucky and Desiree!!

Camp Lucky and our trainer, Jessie, have made a huge difference in our dog, Frank's, behavior. He struggled to behave around other dogs and did not recall well. The training has been a real game changer for our family. Frank is now calm around other dogs and very well behaved. He takes all commands instantly. I would highly recommend Camp Lucky. Well worth the investment in our fine Doverman.

I recently had the pleasure of working with jessie at camp lucky to train my energetic and stubborn Cane Corso. I cannot express enough how impressed I am with the results and the overall experience.

I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Jessie took the time to listen to my concerns and understand my dog's specific needs. Their knowledge and expertise were evident right from the start.

Throughout the training they sent us report cards which and much more which displayed a remarkable level of professionalism. They used positive reinforcement techniques that were effective in teaching my dog new commands and behaviors. One of the best decisions we ever made was sending our pup Murph for training. He came back still our energetic little boy but much more well behaved. We appreciated all the photos and videos that we got that included updates so we could watch his progress. The difference we’ve seen in him is amazing and made it all worth it!

Our family adopted Nova from the local Humane Society in 2023. We’d lost our former family dogs of 10+ years to old age and felt we were ready and capable of adopting/training a new canine family member. I learned two things very quickly:

1) Nova was half Malinois.
2) I knew absolutely nothing about Malinois behaviors, or how to work with one.

I’ve never been the type of person to “re-home” a dog once adopted, but after her first two weeks I was honestly at my wits end about what else to do. I am genuinely thankful each and every day that my wife contacted Camp Lucky.

Jessie came out to our home himself to visit and observe Nova in her home environment and he was very clear with regard to training and boarding options. It never felt like we were receiving an “up-sell.” He was genuinely passionate about giving our family the best possible bonding outcome with Nova.

We initially chose an in-home training experience that would occur on a weekly basis. Jessie and his staff immediately developed a rapport with our dog and, perhaps more importantly, our family. It’s been my experience that half of all dog training is actually training *people* to understand and handle their dog effectively and Camp Lucky has been peerless on both counts.

We followed Nova’s training program to the letter and were seeing immediate results—not just with her obedience, but with the overall positive experience of our new extended family. And then a family tragedy occurred that required us to leave the state for over a month.

Jessie was extremely helpful at a very difficult time for our family. He went out of his way to collect Nova for boarding and the continuation of her training program. I don’t think our family would have been able to leave Nova in the care of anyone else at that point. She came back to us the following month and it was immediately clear that she’d been well-cared for and stimulated physically and mentally the entire time.

We have continued Nova’s private and public-access training for close to 600 hours now. She’s well on her way to being evaluated as a legitimate behavioral service dog. We get constant compliments in public for her behavior and obedience. The neighborhood kids love to see her out on walks and get the chance to give her a training treat for good behavior. I have personally never been more in-sync with a dog in my whole life of being a dog owner and none of that would be possible without Jessie and the amazing people at Camp Lucky. I cannot recommend them strongly enough if you want to improve the lives of your dog and your family in any way.

December 2024 we decided it would be good to find a trainer for our 2 pups. Bailey 1 1/2 and Lilly 9 months , sweet angels they could use a little training. ( Barking , jumping , begging at the table, you know all the things little angels do ) . We contacted Camp Lucky and were given Jesse's name, He came out to visit and our pups thought they had just found a new bestie, !!! That made the decision for me, Bailey and Lilly were going to boarding school at Camp Lucky with Jesse as their Captain.
Jan 2, 2025 came fast and it was off to Camp Lucky with their new bestie Captain Jesse. !!! AS lonely as life was at our home , things were busy at camp , the videos were showing my
sweet wonderful angels learning the real meaning of STAY ,
COME, PLACE,HEEL. WOW , Captain Jesse has all the magic words and touches. ( And they are happy and the love Jesse)
This is what you want for your loved and adored pets. to respect and obey you as their loving parents. Jesse will help you achieve this. . ... The day the came home was wonderful and life has been much better( My favorite word now is PLACE ) WE are still working on the things Jesse taught them. but ,i can say it is the best thing we have done.
PS it was hard to send my babes away but Jesse took good care of them ,and they are better because of the time spend with him!!

We hired camp lucky after mixed results with another trainer. Desiree came and picked up our 1 yo poodle mix and two weeks later dropped off a changed dog! Our dog was (and has remained) attentive and responsive to all commands. It was obvious the dog loved and respected Desiree. I can’t say enough about our experience. If you are on the fence, DO IT!
