We have a 6 month old golden retriever puppy. We signed up for in home puppy lessons with another trainer and after 4 weeks, we felt it wasn’t a good fit. We were unable to walk our puppy using the methods we were shown. Our puppy would just pull and choke himself trying to run out in front. We decided to search for another trainer and found Camarillo Canine. We’re SO happy we switched.

We’ve been working with Isaac for a little over a month now and we went from being frustrated to enjoying life with our puppy. Isaac was able to introduce different methods of training, then asked for feedback and made adjustments. Today, we took our puppy (And 2 year old) on a walk, he stayed behind my left pant leg the entire time and was watching me to lead him. What a night and day difference from a month ago. We’ve enjoyed every session we’ve had and will continue more sessions. It’s nice that we’re training life skills (Come, Heal, Lay, Drop it, etc) and not “Tricks.” Thank you Isaac for all your knowledge and love for dogs. It’s very clear that this is serious passion of yours and you make it easy to work with.

Indy, our Belgian Malinois Mix came a long way in our sessions with Isaac and Lucas. Isaac gave us great training tools for household obedience that translate well in public. Indy was leash reactive and scared around other dogs/people. Indy continues to make progress with her confidence. By the end of our time with Isaac she was roaming around the dog park. This is something we haven’t done in a very long time. Pictured is Indy to the right of Lucas.

My 1.5-year-old Golden Retriever/Pit mix, Janie, came home from a week with Isaac at Camarillo Canine a completely different dog (in a good way). Janie didn’t receive proper socialization as a puppy, and as a result, she struggled with reactivity, bad manners, and was generally anxious and high strung. She caused much stress in the house and I was ready to give up on her, but Isaac’s training techniques made a significant difference in her behavior. The techniques he taught us have helped Janie stay calm and focused, even in the presence of distractions. We went from avoiding situations, to being able to take her anywhere. Isaac at Camarillo Canine has been incredible in helping us with our 4-year-old Anatolian Shepherd rescue. She had a lot of trouble with barking and reactivity, especially around other dogs.

After working with Isaac, our dog is much calmer, listens to commands even when other dogs are around, and she’s almost fully trained for off-leash walks. He helped us easily stop her barking in just a few weeks.
