Guy was rude to me and my in laws when trying to purchase a firearm. went as far as even threatening to charge me with fraud. just wow! My in laws are Mexican and were treated so poorly! This guy was obliviously racist against Mexicans and was rude to me and I'm white. I do not recommend this place!

I visited Friday evening. There were employees available in each department that greeted me and let me know they were around for any help. I did need help checking stock in a camping chair and the lady and gentleman (in training) were great at helping me with what I needed. The long time cashier was also as friendly as ever. I really love this Cabela's store!

I am a huge Cabelas fan, but honestly this is the smallest and most unimpressive Cabelas in the country; and I have been to a whole bunch of them. Prices are a little high, which is typical for Cabelas. From what I have heard it has a good manager. I have had a few good experiences with staff there, but after my family and I spending GOBS of money at the place, I no longer shop there.

I was there recently buying a product, and on the way out I realized the price I paid was not what I thought the tag said (way too much), so I went back in the store to ask for a refund. The lady at the Customer Service desk must have worked for the government previously...she said in a very rude manner (and scowling) "all sales are final!" I tried to explain that I literally just bought it moments ago, and she just walked away shaking her head with me still trying to explain. I left saying to myself, "guess I won't be buying here anymore." It's a shame...I will still visit and purchase at other Cabelas...just not this one. Unfortunately, being a big corporate retail establishment, it's highly likely I care about that more than they do.

I want Cabela's to reach out to Marine vet Jack at your Grand Junction, Colorado location and heap big praise on him. I was in the store looking for a home defense firearm for my daughters home and he really took the time to answer questions and give solid recommendations. We'll done Jack!!!

Cabela’s as a retailer is a great company. The local store, however, is less than helpful. I can see why most people prefer shopping online..

Some reviewers are unaware that they have a part to do themselves in use of such an amazing source. God himself feels honor back to the founding days of Cabela's. As Bass Pro, the current owner of the Cabela's corporation, stewards the way forward, customers need to do their part. Modern times bring challenges to the blessings on the outfit from the beginning, and the problems have to occur somewhere. An outfitter supplies goods to facilitate your interactions with mother nature, with the Earth, with family, friends and with yourself.
Directors and managers have a real responsibility to do justice to the brand; if you can do better than they are, put in an application.
There is a certain appreciation needed to make the wheels turn true. Plan well, order carefully and early, keep a spirit of gratitude. Endure setbacks as a test of character; do the right thing first yourself in response to issues. The miraculous often hides itself behind a veil of common worldly stuff. Back when Mr. Cabela started by offering tied fly fishing lures for mail order through magazine ads, the saying, "Great things start small," was proven.

I love Cabelas in general but I recently boondocked for one night in their parking lot in my Class C RV. I did go into the store to ask if this was OK and was told no problem, just park far out by the trees. I felt safe, there were a couple lots cats that drove by, but it was a weekend night. Level spot, overhead lights, food nearby because they share a parking lot with a mall and have allthe restaurants around it. Great spot for a quick overnight rest!

Went to Cabelas today to get my fly real line replaced. Walked in and nobody was around. There was not an associate there that could help me. This is a sporting goods store that is highy ranked and I felt like I was in Walmart trying to get help. This store is not capable of staffing a store with qualified people. My guess this company will be closed in 1 year.
