Had a plumbing emergency and none of the local plumbers were available at 5:35 PM on a Saturday night. I called Ace Hardware. Got there two minutes before closing andthey promptly took me to the part I needed and got me back on my way. They always have great service and are willing to help you.

This is a big store for an Ace Hardware, with an excellent selection which is tidy, well merchandised and organized, and consistently priced.

The staff is helpful without being pushy. I've had a propane refill there, which not only went very fast and smooth, they had empty tanks in stock - which a local propane vendor did not - so they themselves referred me to this Ace Hardware.

Andy is the worst person to do deal with at this store. He literally yelled at us when we entered the front door - which was OPEN. He yelled ‘get out of here, we closed at 3 pm!!!!!!!!!!’ He continued to yell until we left. He is insane and should be fired. A normal person would’ve said ‘ we are closed’ and we would’ve left. Ace hardware management - this dude has no business dealing with customers.

A small store that packs a surprising amount of goods from birdseed to paint to power tools to housewares and garden supplies. I can almost always find what I need ... or it's on the next truck. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

I tried to fill 4 x 30 Lbs. propane cylinders at Buena Vista Ace Hardware on 2/7/24. The man dispensing propane refused to fill all my cylinders since my 1997 F250 has a cap installed over the bed. His supervisor Lorrie Mailander supported that decision. I pointed out to both of them the NFPA 58 9.3.2.5 states "Closed-bodied vehicles having separate cargo, driver, and engine compartments shall be considered to be in compliance with this provision (section 9.3)". This limits my vehicle to transporting 1,000 Lbs. total weight of propane and cylinders; my 4 cylinders filled weigh just under 220 Lbs. Instead I was sold 3 incompletely filled cylinders. I drove 38 miles each way to do business with this propane retailer. I have taken the time to educate myself regarding the rules and regulations applicable to retail propane sales since I'm a full time RV resident so it's important for me to know where I stand. The manager and employee I dealt with yesterday treated me poorly with sarcasm and indifference. I was told I'm no longer welcome to purchase propane at Buena Vista Ace Hardware. Hopefully the owner or senior management reads these reviews. I have contacted Scott Foster at DeLuca Gas, the propane and dispensing equipment provider and informed him of this situation. I have also filed a complaint with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Division of Oil and Public Safety Weights and Measures Section.
