Everyone is so kind and helpful here. We went to look at dogs, but did not end up adopting. They have great meeting spaces for big and smaller animals. The site updates every 15 minutes for animals that are available. Again everyone is so nice, and they had a great selection of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and bunnies. ❤️

I adopted this sweet girl (Honey, now named Sunny) about 3 weeks ago. She has fit right in and made herself at home. She is loving the nearby park and trails. Thanks to DFL in Castle Rock for letting me spend some extra time with her at the adoption center. She has been a wonderful addition to my home.

It’s been a year since we’ve adopted our sweet girl from here! Can’t recommend adopting enough, we fell in love with her the day we brought her home and she easily became a big part of our little family ❤️

My cat got out and a good Samaritan brought him here. The facility contacted me through his chip info and let me know he was doing well. The staff was super nice and made the pick up process easy. Thanks for taking care of Beans!

I adopted my 5 year old Hank here a little over a month ago. The shelter staff were great, patient with all our questions, and the facility is so clean! Thank you for giving me my best friend!!

Also, don’t be afraid to adopt an older dog- they need love too and he has been the sweetest, well mannered boy!

The dumb friends league buddy center was amazing to work with. I came in a few days before adopting my baby to look at the cats and when I came back they remembered me and helped me find the cat I was looking for (it was love at first site)

They explained how to best help her because she was a very anxious cat, gave me tips to help her adjust and just made me and her feel comfortable.

Now I have an incredibly comfortable and cuddly cat who adjusted much faster than they expected!

Augustine (formerly Mazi) is very thankful for the dumb friends league!

Two weeks ago we traveled to castle rock to meet a puppy, it was a Friday morning and it was a relaxed, pleasant experience. We didn’t get the name of the staff that worked with us, but she was wonderful and I’m grateful for the very nice visit.
We visited the Leslie Malone center a few times prior and it was definitely a more loaded experience, especially trying to bring our other dogs to meet. I completely understand too, Denver dumb friends is the heart of it all. So if you’re looking for a more quiet experience, try the Buddy center, it may work out easier like it did for us 🙂
Our girl is doing well, feisty, loves to play with her siblings. All our babies have come from the dumb friends, they’re very good people and offer amazing services!

I went today to drop off some donations and decided to take a look at the dogs. As we were leaving, they’re was an employee back to his room I kindly asked to pet the dog Nugget, and she rudely responded with her back to me and said “no he’s good”. I understand if it’s against protocol but I would appreciate if she explained that instead of responding rudely and not looking me in the eyes. Overall disappointed in my experience, it was my first time going to a Dumb Friends League. I just didn’t feel appreciated with the way I was treated.
