We purchased Jack back in February. Was told he was up to date on all shots since he was their working dog as they called him and was retiring him. So he was the dad of the puppies that they was having. I still took him for a check up anyway had hookworms tapeworms and heart worms. Still treating him for those. Plus the plastic barrel that you had for his shelter is against the law. So all you people that have the beautiful puppies that Jack and the female made they donโ€™t have a good life. Jack didnโ€™t anyway. He now has a good home a warm bed when itโ€™s cold and a cool one when itโ€™s hot. Most of all lots of love.

My experience with Bonnie's Rat Terriers was entirely positive. Bonnie was quick to communicate with me. My beloved puppy, a standard type A with long leg, is healthy, very loving, lively, playful, and a dream to train. He's absolutely gorgeous too. I would definitely recommend Bonnie to anyone looking for a breeder of rat terriers. My puppy is a textbook example of the rat terrier temperament and breed characteristics. They are the perfect dog, in my opinion.

Hi Bonnie, I finally got here, sorry it took me so long. I am not much of a computer person. LOL! Anyway, I just wanted to tell all rat terrier fans out there " you" are the lady to see if they are looking for a beautiful, healthy, intelligent, even tempered rat terrier puppy. Bonnie has some very beautiful dogs , and they have been bred with a lot of TLC and attention to their good health and well being. That is very important to her, and it was important to me when I started my search for a rat terrier puppy. I first spoke to Bonnie in Oct 2018 after my beloved Lulu almost 15 years old, passed away. I was heartbroken and shaken when I made that first call to Bonnie, I started to cry when I told her about Lulu and how she died. Bonnie was very kind, compassionate, and understanding,I felt like I was talking too and old friend. Bonnie explained to me that she did not have any mini rat puppies at that time but she would soon, could I wait a few months? I told her yes... I would wait and sent a deposit for a puppy not yet born. Bonnie told me she would stay in touch with me and let me know as soon as puppies were born. She said I could have first pick and she would send me pictures. True to her word, Bonnie updated me on the progress of the mothers pregnancy and let me know when the time was getting close. Jan 6,2019 my puppy was born along with 7 other mini rat terriers. Bonnie said she would send pictures once she knew the puppies were going to be viable. A week or so later first pictures of the puppies arrived, and they were all so perfect, healthy and beautiful! I shed tears of joy when I saw those first pictures! About one month later I went to Wrens GA to choose my puppy and I had the pleasure of meeting Bonnie in person. Bonnie was everything I had thought she would be, kind, knowledgeable, compassionate, and friendly. I felt like an old friend when she showed me all her beautiful dogs. I met my puppies papa and Mama "Star", then I choose my little girl, and named her "Molly". When Molly was 8 weeks old I went back to GA to pick her up and take her home. Bonnie had given the first two sets of booster shots and had been worming puppies weekly, she advised that I should get appointment with my vet for well checkup and follow up booster in next week or so, which I did. Molly weighed 3lbs 8 oz at her first vet visit, had no worms, got her 3rd booster and received a clean bill of health by my vet. YEA! Molly is now 5months old, she weighs 13lbs 8oz, is very bright, playful, loves people, makes friends easily, is very social with other dogs and knows how to sit, give her paw, fetch a ball and high 5 for treats! Most of all Molly is my companion, friend and has made my house a home again! Many Thanks to you Bonnie!

I bought a puppy here and 2 weeks later had to put her down, she was 8 weeks old. I bought her 31 May if I remember correctly. Bonnie told me to take her to the vet as soon as I got home. I live in SC. I took her to the vet 2 June. He said she was healthy but was dumbfounded that a breeder sold her before 8 weeks old. That is illegal in SC and I found out it is illegal in GA too. The vet said puppies aren't vaccinated until they were 8 weeks old but Bonnie said she had 2 vaccines before we bought her. I asked if she should get her next round of shots vet said that puppies don't get shots until 8 weeks. I'm not sure if she was talking about any shots or just the next set. 2 Mondays later I took her back to the vet to get her vaccines but she started to seize. As they were trying everything in the back to save her the vet (there are 3 in this office) asked if the mom was up to date on her shots. I texted Bonnie and she replied that dogs only need their first year shots although a vet will tell you different. I told my vet. My vet asked for her vet's name so she could contact him / her. She never gave it to me. When I told my vet that the puppy had her first 2 rounds of shots she asked what they were. I texted Bonnie again. She said she had 2 rounds of 5 in 1's. I asked where she got them, my vet said they need to be temperature controlled, but she never replied. My vet's thought I'd that they were from tractor supply or a pet store. My puppy had distemper. Had the mom been up to date on her vaccines, had the mom received a distemper shot before she was bred, then my puppy would not have contracted distemper, she would have received the antibodies from her mom.
I posted a review on Yelp but her reply said she's been doing this for 20 years. I called the GA dept of AG to let them know. They said Bonnie just got a breeder's license in Sept of 2018 so if she had been doing this for 20 years she had been doing it unlicensed. I am the only yelp review. How is that possible if you've been doing it that long? I posted a review on her website but it was never published. There is only one other review (maybe 2) on her site saying how much the reviewer loved her fur babies from Bonnie and that she had bought a few from her. One review in 20 years and that one positive. I think Google Reviews only has 2 one good one and one mediocre one.
This puppy cost an arm and a leg then my other arm and leg to put her down. I asked for a refund but she doesn't do that. She did say I could have one of the puppies from an upcoming litter. Why would I do that? The kennels, if you can call them that, are dirt floors with no way to disinfect them. I can't remember seeing a dog house in any of the pens, I could have missed them.
This is a person who essentially lives in a hovel asking a cool $500 for a puppy who never saw a vet. She will probably reply to this saying that I did sending wrong, didn't take her to the vet right away. I have paperwork. They are not AKC registered puppies so the price is incredibly high! There are no vet records for her mom or puppies. DO NOT BUY A PUPPY HERE!
