I love black oak kennel. Lisa is amazing with the dogs. She has trained both of our dogs one yellow lab and the other a 1yr old Newfoundland. You can tell she loves the animals and she is great at helping you continue the training at home. I would recommend Black Oak Kennels if your dog needs any kind of training. She asks lots of questions and what you want to get out of the training and will work on that behavior with others. This is the day she came home she was pooped and yes she is allowed on the couch

Bodie has stayed at Lisa’s several times and she is hands down the BEST boarder we have ever had! I used to always have someone stay at the house with my dogs because I’m so picky but at Black Oaks….Bodie is well loved, gets great baths, and gets lots of pup socialization!!

Welcome and wonderful vacation "home" for our pup. Black Oak Kennels is situated in a rural area and the dogs are welcomed to a large play area with obstacles, water, shade, and lots of places to run or rest. The kennel is well lit, ventilated, air conditioned, and comfy for all size dogs. But the best part of Black Oaks is Lisa, the owner. She's a master trainer of dogs with all sorts of certifications. Our first experience with Lisa was a combination of boarding and helping our dog be less reactive because she had been rejected by our local Bay Area boarding facilities. Lisa connected easily with our girl and brought out her best qualities. She educated us on how to reinforce the training and how to assess environments that would be most comfortable for our dog. Our dog has stayed with Lisa and Black Oaks many times since then and is always enthusiastic to see Lisa and enjoys her vacations at Black Oaks. Lisa communicates well with us when we are out of town and sends us photos of our happy girl. Cannot say enough good things about Black Oaks Kennels.

I highly recommend Black Oaks Kennels for all of your training and boarding needs. Lisa has been taking care of our dog Kali for years while we go on vacation and it’s always a positive experience. Thelma and Louise have used Black Oaks Kennels for over 2 years. Lisa is accommodating, flexible, and extremely professional. While we were away in Europe, Lisa sent pictures and updates almost daily about our fur babies. She treats our dogs like they are part of her family. Lisa even has better chew toys for our dogs than we do!

Lisa is the best in the area! I would recommend this kennel to all of my friends. My dogs are so incredibly well taken care of when they stay with Lisa, which helps me have my own stress free vacation! She has substantial knowledge of dog training and behavior management...She even helped me navigate options for my older LGD, who is staring to show signs of hip/joint pain. Worth every penny to know my dogs are consistently safe, comfortable, and well cared for when they stay at Black Oaks Kennels. Plus, they have a large play yard full of enrichment for the pups!!

We found THE one...the boarding facility of our dreams! We love Lisa and more importantly, so does our doggo! Black Oaks Kennels is in a peaceful setting, with clean well-maintained grounds and kennels. It's also very secure with fencing and gates. Lisa and Jeff are more than just very experienced dog-handlers, they are animal lovers who truly care for clients' pets as well as their own menagerie. We are so happy to know we can leave our dog in their wonderful, caring hands! We highly recommend them!

Excellent trainer and boarder, pays special attention to each dog. Very clean kennels and runs, with professional training offered as well. Bear is always happy to go to his “second home” for a week.
