I really like this motel. The owner-manager is great. Our room is beautiful, remodeled, and very clean. Many convenient amenities. Situated in lovely scenery. Reasonable rates, too, for this tourist area. I would recommend Black Hawk Lodge to my family and friends.

Welp, Bates motel look a like. It's odd in all respects, time for a major overhaul. If your gonna use thift store furniture go shabby chic, not just shabby. Locals gasped when we told them where we stayed.It is a noted halfway house. This time were mostly Europeans, I am sure they were not charmed. Some deep cleaning could be done, fans, bathroom lights, doors need slide bolts. It was passable for sleep only. Upside, it was quiet, convenient to an event We were at, one floor, no smoke smell or curry. I hope the owners can get these rooms to a little more decent status. Chukansi casino is 7 minute drive, so not so bad. This is five steps below a motel 8. Also, we did get a fridge,microwave, and coffee maker as a plus...

Check in process went smoothly- however the floor was incredibly dirty, cobwebs in every corner and the largest wolf spider I’ve ever seen. Shower smelled like a urinal, AC did not work well enough (stayed above 78 despite running the AC for 6+ hours with the fans on. Overall wouldn’t stay again

The rooms were fine. Very clean and tidy. Nothing special but definitely nothing negative to say about the rooms. This is a perfect place to stay if you’re just going there to sleep and shower. The lady at the front desk was very rude. I think she was mad I was checking in at 1 am

Quaint and rustic. Hour to hour and half from the Yosemite gate but for less than half the cost. Bring your own snacks and waters or plan to stop at a gas station.

This is not a fancy place, it is clean and a place to sleep. No breakfast. No restaurant. No vending machines. A bed, a microwave, a 2 cup coffee pot and a fridge. Heat and ac. Minimal water pressure in the shower. Super basic toiletries.

But it was a good bed. TV worked. AC made it cozy.

At least they had beds and bathroom. There were so dirty everywhere in the room! The bathroom was terrible. They put us dirty sheets and towels! Dust everywhere! I was warned about bags, but thanks god they don’t have them.
Also on the reservation it says 24 hours reception. But it is not true. I was scared to sleep there. We were along with my daughter and this motel is in the middle of nowhere without any security.
Terrible experience! I think that someone have to ban a place like this!

Very good price value ratio for the three of us. The location has everything it needs to stay there for one or a few nights. The building is a bit old but clean and the lady at the front desk building was friendly and helpful. The bath towels were super fluffy and comfortable.

Plenty of hot water, and the AC works fine. Otherwise a train wreck, and overrun by cats. Worst place I've stayed. Price not in line with accommodations.
