We recently moved here, and my Boston was having a tough time with allergies. The clinic saw me the same morning and was super helpful in putting my mind at ease. They explained what they thought was causing her symptoms and gave me the next steps to help her feel better. The staff was amazing - they really care and love what they do.

We have had several dogs go to Black Forest Veterinary over the years and we’ve always had excellent service. The front desk staff have always been friendly, patient and courteous to me and my family. We typically see Dr. Liebers and she always puts us at ease, answering all our questions, giving rational advice, and making sure our dogs get great care. She makes sure we are all on the same page with any procedures and she is transparent about all the details and pricing. We love the small town feeling of this vet and will continue to see them for years to come.

Used to be great. Not sure if it was just the experience today but ended up walking out. My dog is not the easiest but the vet was super unhelpful and seemed frustrated by the time I got there. May be worth a try for someone else but I will be trying to find somewhere else.

We brought our 12 (yes 12) 10 week old LGD puppies for vaccines and exams. At 20 lbs each, their staff was so helpful in helping us carry them in and get weights. The whole process was stress free and enjoyable. Just because there was 12 did not mean they rushed through the exams. They were thorough on the first through the last. I love their staff and the way they take care of their clients and animals. I recommend them to all my new puppy parents and our own friends and family.

The absolute best Veterinarian clinic we have ever been to. Dr. Kris is beyond amazing!!! Although Dr. Kris is who we usually see, we recently saw Dr. Tibetts when our beloved service dog crossed the rainbow bridge. He was sincere, caring, and very gentle. We have never encountered such a friendly environment from the front desk and support staff to the veterinarians. You won’t regret your decision to go here!

For reference we saw Dr. Holcombe for the spay however while the other doctor did her recheck, she was nicer but still dismizsed the infection. I took my cat here for a spay appointment, my phone quote was around $200 for the appointment and $75 for her wellness check beforehand. In person I am told the low end of her spay will be around $400 high end being $900 whatever, my cat needs to be spayed and i have used this clinic before for my dog about 3 years ago and didnt have a bad experince so I figured it would be at least worth it. Boy was i wrong. I pick her up from the spay and suddenly im paying $470ish for the appointment, whatever again she needed it i figured it would be fine. That night I go to give her meds and check her incision make sure everythings fine-its red very bloody and hot to the touch. I figure this is normal its only day 1. 4 days later it looks worse, come day 7 theres its rashing, yellow shes extremely fatigued and crying in pain. I call and go in for what they call a “recheck” $50 for this appointment. I tried 9 other clinics before calling them back and everyone was booking days or weeks out and i really cant let her suffer so we go to the appointment. the office smells like vomit and feces this time. I wait about 20 minutes before i am put in a room and they want me to put her on this towel (in photos) this towel is stained and smells so bad I cannot fathom putting her on it. I hold her instead and turns out they dont believe shes infected just “swollen and red” I really dont trust this so i take her to an emergency vet who verifies she in infected and having a reaction to the sutures. Will never go back to this clinic an absolutely horrible experience, the office staff were incredibly rude and seemed so annoyed everytime i asked them to explain the charges or what was wrong or what was happening. I will never reccommend them or ever go back.

Two terrible experiences and it’s taken me awhile to write a review. The first was related to my cat. I took her in because she was having respiratory distress. The vet listened to her lungs and said they were “clear” and she didn’t know what was wrong with her. She recommended I take her to the ER. At the ER, she was diagnosed with having an asthma attack and her lungs were in bad shape. I don’t get how a vet can miss that, but thankfully my cat lived.

The second experience, was related to my parents cat. Unfortunately, the cat died possibly due to their negligence, we will never know, but they didn’t help the situation. She was brought to black forest multiple x without a clear diagnosis and given meds and told my parents the cat would be fine. The cat went downhill quickly and by the time she was taken to the ER, she was in critical condition and passed away. If Black Forest didn’t know what was wrong they should have sent the cat to the ER upon the first visit. They never recommended the ER either. Would stay far away!

Great vet clinic with a small town feel. We have taken our 15 month old shih tzu here since we got him. Super friendly staff. Always a good experience for us.
