Had a great time on the sunset ride! Our main wrangler was Nick (sorry I forgot the name of the other one!!) and he was a fun one to hit the trail with! It was a lovely ride, our group had a mix of horse experience—my friend has only sat on a horse once or twice, her friend teaches at Westernaires, and I am a novice but ride weekly. All of our horses were appropriate for us, and the wrangler even let our friend be the first guest to ride Knight! My beginner friend rode Rosie, and I rode Judy. I was pleased to see that all of the horses were healthy and in good weight, since all too often you see skinny horses at trail ride facilities. It’s also great that they have stocky horses with good bone for midsize riders, and a handful of drafts for plus size riders. None of the horses looked to be struggling or uncomfortable, so great work on protecting the biggest asset of your business!!! I would definitely recommend them, it’s worth the money.

I took my kids riding over winter break and had a blast. Sheriah was great and made the trip very fun. The horse were amazing and well trained. I hadn't thought about going in the winter before but I'm glad we did. It was so peaceful. We can't wait to go back again.

This morning was the second time I have been to Big Horn Stables and both times were excellent. Cruz and Nick were great trail leaders and very nice. the trails were beautiful and relaxing. the horses weee great. I had Spice the first time and Nugget the second. Both were great horses and easy to ride. I would highly recommend going here for an amazing time.

The trails here are amazing !!! They are located right by the Chatfield Reservoir so you get to ride by a stream of water and through a forest with easy going trails that are paved out. Kayden, Cruz, Amber, and Nick were our "wranglers" and this staff is unbelievably attentive at ensuring the people and their horses are taken care of! Their instructions for first time riders were very caring and informative and they even crack a bunch of jokes to make the experience that much better! My mom rode the Clydesdale named Cleo and she was so calm and majestic and I rode Aurora who had so much free spirit and even let out some deep belly neighs! You can tell the horses enjoy the trails just as much as we did.

There is even a shop in the front with cowboy souvenirs and an old fashioned set of stores including a jail that makes you feel like you time travel back to the Wild Wild West 😁

I highly recommend you go and experience this gorgeous getaway!

I can't rave enough about our amazing date night at Big Horn Stables! From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience. Our trail guides, JJ and Drake, were absolutely incredible. They took the time to teach us how to steer the horses before we set off, which made us feel confident and at ease. I was paired with Guac, and my partner rode Rosie—both horses were an absolute delight, and I fell in love with mine immediately. This was hands down the best trail ride I’ve ever been on. JJ and Drake made the whole experience fun, and their kindness and knowledge truly stood out. You can tell they genuinely love their jobs and care deeply for the horses, which are clearly very well looked after. During the ride JJ even asked if we wanted a picture, umm yeah! 🙂 The pricing was fair, and the quality of the experience was top-notch. Big Horn Stables is now my favorite place, and I can't recommend them enough! If you're looking for a perfect trail ride, this is the place to go!
