Our journey with Beyond Behavior K9 Training began when we adopted Kash through Boston Buddies. Kash had a challenging start, being surrendered and returned due to dog aggression and resource guarding issues. Boston Buddies enrolled Kash in Beyond Behavior's Board and Train Program to give her the best chance at a successful adoption.

Kerianne, took the time to deeply understand Kash's personality and root causes of her behaviors, eventually discovering that Kash had been mislabeled. This personalized approach allowed Kerianne to tailor a program specifically for Kash, focusing on building her confidence, mastering core commands, and addressing her reactive behaviors stemming from fear.
The “Go Home” sessions equipped us with the tools and knowledge needed to continue Kash's training at home and successfully integrate her into our pack.

Recently, we adopted a Boston puppy named Rioux. We knew immediately that we wanted to send her through the Beyond Behavior Training Program to build a strong foundation to ensure that our girls would live together harmoniously. Rioux completed a two-week foundational obedience training independently and then Kash joined her for 1 week of joint training. The transformation was incredible—Rioux's energetic puppy behavior was channeled positively, leading to a happier and more relaxed dynamic between our two pups.

Every day, both Kash and Rioux show growth in confidence, discipline, and their bond with each other continues to strengthen. Kerianne’s board and train program has completely transformed our dog Nova’s life. Our 7-year-old, 90-pound rescue mix struggled with severe anxiety-based reactivity, making it impossible to take her out in public due to her constant lunging and barking at other dogs. Despite our efforts, nothing seemed to help.

Kerianne helped us realize that Nova’s behavior was a response to our own fear, anxiety, and lack of boundaries. During our initial consultation, we understood that our lack of leadership, routines and boundaries were escalating her behavior.

I took my Australian kelpie chief to beyond behavior k9 Traning to help with his major separation anxiety. I was never able to step outside my house not even to throw out trash while he was inside with out him crying bloody murder. I’ve had neighbors call animal control on us due to the constant barking and Wining he did when I tried to leave. After trying Traning at Petsmart it wasn’t worth it because they didn’t really focus on his separation anxiety and his basic commands is something I already taught him. I searched every where for the right trainer I didn’t want to take him to the big chain trainers that teach a dog in a facility. I wanted chief to have real life experiences in a home setting.

After chief being at bbk9 for less then 72 hours there was a significant change in him. Fast forward to 3 weeks later and he comes home a whole different dog. I’m not only able to walk outside to throw out the trash but I’m able to go out shopping have dinner with my husband with out the Constant worry of animal control showing up at my door. He also had really bad reactivity towards other dogs, birds cats you name it. I can now take him out for proper walks with out him feeling the need to lunge at everything he see walk past him. Their is many times chief try’s to test my husband and I but with the tools Kerianne gave us we are able to make sure he stays in tip top shape. Traning is not a one and done deal it’s something that you much do for the entirely of your pets life. I will continue my Traning journey with bbk9 Traning and use any and all opportunities like feeding him breakfast and dinner to use for my training but not only will. I continue with bbk9 Traning for refreshers for my pup but for my self as well.

Moral of the story is I now have a well behaved dog, I can go out again and family doesn’t mind chief tagging along as they once did when he was a menace. I owe it all to bbk9 because of Kerianne we got our life back. This is an investment to give you and your pup the best quality life has to offer. We rescued Kobe, our French bulldog and soon realized we were in over our heads. Even though we’ve had dogs for years, Kobe was different. He was pushy, entitled and had separation anxiety (I did too, as it turned out). We had never given up on a dog and weren’t about to start now. We knew if we made the decision to adopt, he would be with us for life. Kerianne was up for the challenge so we enrolled Kobe in the 3 week board & train program.

As a dog rescuer for almost 20 years, you would think I had enough dog experience that I would not need to seek professional advice for my own dogs. But when one of my dogs started exhibiting some rude habits, I knew I needed to go to the pros and get things under control. Keriann’s work saved our Dog’s life. Before going through a 3 week board and train, our 2 year old rescue GSD, Benny, had fear based reactivity that had gotten so out of hand he had attacked multiple dogs and attempted to attack 2 people. We had tried other training programs which never stuck, and felt like we had nowhere to go. We were completely hopeless. Putting him down had crossed our minds, as we thought we would have no other options. Enter, Keriann with Beyond Behavior K9. From the moment I called, I felt an enormous weight off my shoulders. Keriann quickly helped me to realize that Benny wasn’t an inherently bad dog- he was just misunderstood and misguided. Through our initial consult, I understood that my weak/pushover leadership tendencies were causing an escalation in his behaviors. My husband and I were trained as much as Benny was, transforming our whole relationship inside out. When Benny came out of board and train, he was unrecognizable from the dog we dropped off. From believing he would never be able to even spot another dog without reacting to walking alongside Keriann’s dog without a care in the world. This was just the beginning. We take Benny everywhere now. To restaraunts, Home Depot runs, mountain bike rides, etc. we can take him anywhere without fear. He is able to experience life off leash and live more fully than he ever would have been able to. Our relationship with Benny is deeper than it ever could have been. We learned more about ourselves through the process than I ever would have thought. Benny is our heart and soul dog and we owe everything to Keriann that he is still here.

Taking my Belgian malinois shepherd (Draco) to BBk9 was the best decision I ever made before I took him he was very lack of confidence , Eager to learn And had bad habits at home, but thanks to Kerianne’s 3 weeks of boarding school program Draco came back a new dog and has better habits at home ! 🙂
