We’ve consistently had a perfect experience with Best Friends Animal Shelter in Los Angeles! From the moment we started fostering cats through them, everything has been smooth and enjoyable. The staff is incredibly supportive, responsive, and clearly dedicated to the well-being of every animal. They provide everything needed to make fostering easy, and they’re always there to answer questions or offer guidance.

It’s inspiring to see how committed they are to finding each pet a loving home, and we’re so grateful to be a part of this mission. If you’re looking to foster, adopt, or volunteer, we highly recommend Best Friends – they truly make a difference!

We adopted a sweet 2 yo kitty from here and had a great experience! This is by far the cleanest, most well kept shelter I’ve visited. The staff and volunteers were friendly and made the process easy. They also have an amazing policy to take back any animal adopted from them, at any time in case it doesn’t work out. We were sent home with a nice bag of food, some wet food, and treats to make it easy to get started.

I give five stars for friendliness of staff but I was not happy with the meet and greet. First, picture of Blake was misleading. He ended up being larger and stronger than I imagined. He had an infection and was taking antibiotics, which I hadn’t been told about. He had way more energy than I expected. I think a better description of the dog be included in bio and not just a pic of their head. I wish I could have taken him!

I am writing this with so much gratitude! My first foster with Best Friends was adopted tonight and they were incredible throughout the entire process. As a foster parent I felt extremely included and supported throughout the whole process. The staff is beyond friendly and accessible to you for any questions. All supplies were provided to me, I didn’t pay a single penny while my foster was in my care. They were always available if I had any questions and even let me attend my fosters meet and greet and adoption. They do everything they can to set fosters and foster dogs up for success from the very beginning, from helping introduce the foster dog to other members of the home, to have a foster chat line available, they’re just incredible. I could tell my adopter was also so happy. I can’t recommend fostering or adopting through Best Friends enough! ❤️

Volunteer pet adoption center. You can adopt cats and dogs here or foster them and they will supply everything you need from blankets to food to leashes. I had a sleepover with one of the dogs for 3 days and he was well trained and we had a good time!

In October 2017 I adopted Luna, my baby bear. She’s gonna be 12 years old in November .. and I am just so grateful she’s in my life, she’s my furry baby.
At this adoption center the process was easy and everyone was helpful and kind. I want to encourage whoever is thinking about adopting a dog! They are angels that just need a forever home! Luna has saved my life in so many ways! We’ve had so many adventures! I want you to experience the same!! ♥️🐾🐾
