I started taking my dog to Benchmark when she was a puppy and have loved our experiences with Marsha. Shasta sees the van and gets so excited to be going for a stay-cation. That mixed with the photo updates of her looking so happy always assures me that she is having the time of her life.

We have used the boarding and training services with Shasta, our next dog will do a Board and Train, though. With the guidance of Benchmark, we have trained Shasta from a puppy, and she is the best dog I’ve ever had. she can go anywhere and behave, she has phenomenal recall, knows all her basic commands plus a few additional. If we ever have issues with her training, we can always get in for refresher courses for both of us if we ever have any slip ups (like jumping on people in excitement - our biggest issue) or if she starts pulling on leash again. Overall, we have had such a great experience with Benchmark, and especially Marsha, I highly recommend you book your training with them, you and your dog will both be happy you did.

Both my dogs stayed at Benchmark for three weeks when I was in Europe and had a fabulous time. Not only was I updated with great little videos and pictures of Django and Niaka but Marsha gave me little tidbits of information on each dog and how they were doing For the duration of their stay.. An unexpected bonus for sure! Bothdogs came back a little thinner because they both were a bit chunky when I dropped them off and I told Marsha it was OK if she wanted to pull back on their food to take some weight off. They looked fabulous when I pick them up. I would highly recommend benchmark for a wonderful boarding experience and if you’re looking for board and trains, I know Marsha Is an excellent dog trainer. We adopted our sweet puppy Leila on a whim after seeing her at our local farmers market, and while we were excited, we quickly realized we were in over our heads! Having only ever had older dogs, my husband and I were completely lost when it came to training a puppy—everything from nipping, potty training, leash pulling, and basic obedience was a struggle.

After some searching, we found Benchmark Dog Training and signed Leila up for the soonest puppy program available. It was the best decision we could have made! After three weeks, Leila came home with a much-improved temperament and a solid foundation in obedience. Marsha, our trainer, gave us valuable tips on how to correct her behavior and maintain her progress, which has made life so much easier at home.

I cannot recommend Marsha enough. She’s worked with many of my dogs and is a true professional. I met Marsha when I had my German shepherd, a breed she specializes in. I now have cocker spaniels and she’s still my go-to trainer. I have one cocker that is a rescue and came from a very abusive situation— he had a lot of issues, to say the least. Marsha worked tirelessly with him (and me!) to correct his issues so he could acclimate into a normal dog life. Marsha cares so much about her clients - people and dogs alike. My dogs are my babies so I don’t trust them with just anyone- whether it’s training or boarding Marsha is amazing.

Marsha is the best trainer ever. I did a board and train session with my dog and results were fabulous. And my dog loves her too. We have also boarded only for three weeks and again fabulous. I was surprised my dog wanted to come home.
