I have had my fur babies tended to by Bayfield Animal Hospital for more than 20 years~in my opinion and experience, these folks have consistently been the best Veterinary Clinic even through the evolution of Dr. Brown retiring and new staff coming in.

My husband and I’s animals have been well tended to, with loving and precise, compassionate care be each staff member that we and our fur babies have encountered.

As I have known Trisha and Jenny, personally, for years, it always lights up my day when we come in to the office for any reason.

We take all our animals here for well checks and they were very caring and thorough. They found a heart murmur in our dog and are helping us navigate treatment for her. We have had our cat neutered here and another dog had teeth removal and surgery to remove a growth. They took such good care of our animals and the after care was very good as well. They put us at ease, broke down all the costs in advance and were priced very fair compared to other vets we visited in the past. I tell everyone to take their animals here. Be sure to get your animals in for a well check prior to a emergency issue arising because they can get you in faster if your animal is already a patient.

If I could leave no stars I would- today I went to make an appointment to get my puppy spayed and the veterinarians were super friendly and awesome no problem there! But the old receptionist lady was very rude. She told me "were not taking new clients have a good day." Until one of the vets I believe her name was denelle (she was amazing) she said that she is taking new clients. And while the old women was taking down my information she was not friendly about it. I asked her how much it was going to be and she tells me "Im not a multi-tasker". But I am a receptionist at my job and multitasking is part of the job! Then she rolled her eyes when I told her my dog didnt have any vaccinations yet (im going somewhere cheaper.) Then I ask again on how much its going to cost to get my dog spayed and she tells me $320-$500. That is outrageous. So I did cancel my apointment about 10 minutes later.
I tried coming here after my mom told me not to because 4 years ago they almost killed her dog by giving him all of his vaccinations at once. And if you didnt know your supposed to space the 3 rounds of raibies shots 3 months apart. He couldnt eat, drink, barely could walk. We had to spend $2000 to save his life. Thankyou Aspen tree animal hospital! I went after I was warned. I work in the dog industry and when locals ask me what vet I recomend, I immediately say "DO NOT GO TO BAYFIELD ANIMAL HOSPITAL" that was 4 years ago and I believe they are different veterinarians then the one who did it, and they seem super nice its just that one old woman who needs a attitude check when talking to clients because thats how you make them not want to come back. And if you look at other 1 star reviews this seems to be a pattern in the rude old women. I seriously suggest getting a new receptionist. Very rude never going back. Not my favorite thing to make bad reviews but this time nothing was holding me back.

This animal hospital saved my little dogs life!! When no other vet in my area would take her. And another vet suggested euthanize Her. I was blessed with a family member suggesting this wonderful animal hospital Dr. Joe you and your amazing Staff and other wonderful veterinarians at Bayfield animal hospital are truly angels! You all saved little Posie’s life you gave her a chance when no one else would! Thank you from the bottom of my heart and bless you all for being such compassionate people. Thank you for dealing with all of my crazy phone calls and all of my questions and all of my frustrations! I would recommend this veterinarian 1,000,000 times over Dr. Joe and his staff always give my dog so much love when she comes in it’s like they see a friend lol 💗 “hi miss Posie how’s our girl?”

We moved from Bayfield 5 years ago, I was there for a visit. For 35 years Bayfield Animal Hospital had been our vet. When I stopped in to see if I could get my dog's teeth clean the lady at the desk in the black with the black hair was extremely rude and because they had taken my dog out of the system we were no longer an established customer and they wouldn't give me an appointment as they were no longer taking new clients. It broke my heart, as they had always seemed so loving and caring.
