I took my Theodore (Golden retriever) I was skeptical just due to him never having been to a groomer and having heard horror stories. But they did amazing. He was trimmed just how they explained his tail and flooff was all brushed out and he smelt good, he was completely soft. Also completely shed free. They were super sweet and understanding and was able to get him in quickly for the groom. He seems like he enjoyed his time with them and what I was quoted was exactly what I paid. For be a first time skeptical dog mom. I was extremely happy with the service. I attached some photos of the trim, he was exactly as I had hoped he would come out.

I had a really great experience here. It was sort of on the pricier end (for me, maybe not other people) but I am glad I came here. They were really quick (done within an hour) and I feel like with Petco or other places they takes hours and just leave your pet in a cage before and after. My dog got to play with other dogs here and the staff were really friendly. She came back looking so gorgeous, they clipped her nails and brushed her teeth and de shed her. She smells so good and looks really good. She is cautious of new people and the staff were really good with her. I will probably do this a few times a year and will always come to them!

Awesome groomer!! I personally love that they do not keep your dog all day in a holding cell. They only cut one dog at a time and therefore you can either wait or come back in an hour. My dog gets anxious just going into a grooming facility and I think it's because she's in a crate most of time and surrounded by other anxious, loud dogs. She was very calm and happy when I picked her up at Barky Mountain and the cut was cute. I think this is a family run business. Everyone is very nice, friendly and skilled!

Never going here again. The owners are rude and will be the downfall of this business.
The husband has an attitude. He gets upset when you ask him to confirm the date and time of your appointment. Instead, he will insult your intelligence and tell you to check your text messages. He should consider having a better attitude about such a simple matter. Just confirm the appointment for your paying customers. It’s not the end of the world. Yet, he’s able to change around appointments at his leisure.

I had a set appointment for 2:00pm, and he was trying to change my appointment last minute to 2:30pm. Then, he texts me to disregard everything. How inconsiderate. I had this appointment booked a month in advance.

Please try to avoid canceling appointments with the wife. Even if you have a valid reason, she reacts negatively and becomes confrontational, as she tends to be inconsiderate and has a similar attitude to her husband.

To the owners: Excellent customer service is crucial for the success of your business. Treating customers with respect and humility is essential, as you are not the only dog groomer in town. Remember, a humble approach can significantly enhance your business reputation and client satisfaction.

Rescheduled me day before, so their employee could leave early. I was late for my appt by 15 min and they told me I could no longer have my appt even though it was technically 15 min early from my original. Couldn’t offer me anything other than take my dog home when I was leaving him on my way to work- during traffic. Won’t be going back. Customer service is trash.

Love this groomer! I have two wacky golden retrievers, and they come out looking like little models. I love that the dogs get to wander around in the room before/after their session, instead of being put in a holding area. Barky Mountain does a great job, and I totally recommend them.

I was hesitant to leave an honest review due to the unprofessional responses the owner is leaving, however I’ve determined that my dogs safety and awareness is more important.

When making an appointment I made it clear that I only wanted a bath, brush, de-shed, and nail trim. I wanted nothing cut or trimmed at all. The gentleman on the phone assured me that they wouldn’t do anything but that (as I do the rest myself at home).

When I picked up my dog the groomer I was told that I would have a $15 additional charge since my dog was “difficult to handle” (this had never been an issue at any of the groomers he has been to so I was shocked but none the less complied). She then informed me that she scratched my dogs nose with the brush. I wasn’t worried about it at first because I figured it was an honest mistake, it didn’t look noticeable at the time, and I appreciated her telling me upfront. I paid and went home.

Once I got home his nose was bleeding and he kept licking his private. I took a closer look and saw that not only did they cut around his stomach, they cut the tip of his private and it was also red bleeding.

I know that it is customary to do a hygienic clip during a groom but I specifically asked for nothing but the bath and NO CUT AT ALL.

My poor dog is now having to wear a cone to prevent him from getting an infection where they cut his private. His nose is starting to heal thankfully but I’m still very concerned about his other injury.

I’m disappointed and heart broken that my baby is suffering from something that never should have happened.
