I have never written an online review for a business- but I had to change that in order to give Barks and Recreation 5 stars. I feel completely comfortable leaving my dog Bear with them. They are lovely, accommodating people. We have boarded, groomed and done daycare with them several times and it has been a completely wonderful experience each time. They go above and beyond, listen to any concerns or questions you have about your dog, and have met every single request I’ve made of them- whether it is specialty food, applying eye drops, etc. I have never once felt dismissed or ignored or that the people there are fed up with animals- and that’s unusual amongst boarding facilities in my experience. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to have peace of mind that the people caring for your animal love your dog as much as you do.

To give an example- once my dog was not feeling up to eating and someone sat with him and hand fed him his food. That’s the kind of people at this establishment. They take initiative to care for your animal. Absolutely wonderful staff and we will continue to go to Barks for all our boarding, daycare and grooming in the future.

They do an incredible job with our puppy, and we know that because our dog now zooms out of the car and runs straight inside when we get there ever since our first boarding. Couldn't care less that we're about to leave. We've left him there for a few nights as well as up to 10 nights at a time. Whenever we called, they were always available to chat and seemed excited to let us know how he is doing (despite how annoying that probably is for them). If they were unavailable at the moment, they called back quickly. I highly recommend Barks and Recreation.

The team at Barks and Rec are extremely kind and attentive to their customers. We have used their grooming, boarding and daycare services and all have been super! The owners, Catie and Mary, are always present and make it a point to keep us informed on how our dog’s visit has gone. They also make sure that we are up to date on his vaccinations and go above and beyond to make sure all their visitors are healthy.

FYI:
- someone stays at the facility overnight to assist the animals being boarded
- they have a max number of dogs they allow in daycare each day, so reservations are suggested and sometimes required

Barks and Recreation was a great experience! I was a little nervous dropping my dog off since this was her first time at a doggie daycare. The staff assured me that Indie would be comfortable since their daycare has smaller play groups. When I came to pick her back up the staff said she fit right in and made some new friends! Thanks Barks and Rec for making our first daycare a fun and comfortable experience!

Best doggie daycare ever! They even have someone who stays over night so we always know our puppy is taken care of even when we can't be there with her. She used to get anxiety when we went out of town but not anymore. Our pup can't wait to get out of the car and go into Bark's and Rec. The staff always remembers us and we are so proud to call them our pups home away from home.

Our dog is a regular at day camp there and he has also boarded overnight numerous times. Five paws from him and five stars from us. The staff is wonderful and the groomer does a great job. We always rest assured he is in good hands at Barks and Recreation!

Barks and Rec is a family-owned business run by dog lovers through and through. Their staff are really friendly and genuinely care for every dog that comes through the door. I LOVE that they have both in- and outdoor kennels and an overnight staff that keep all the dogs company so they don't get lonely or nervous at night. That really makes this place stand out, since most kennels leave the dogs alone at night for several hours. The kennel rooms are built well with everything that could make your dog feel more at home! They are sensitive to every dog's individual needs too. I love that Barks and Rec has a local feel, and I feel like I can really trust them.

Barks and Recreation is a great place for pups! The owners are incredible and professional people who have an apparent and sincere passion for dogs. The amenities are bar none, and I wouldn't want to take my dog anywhere else! Barks and Recreation is my only recommendation for your fur babies and their friends.
