We cannot express enough how grateful we are to Johnny Jumper at Bark Busters for the incredible transformation he has facilitated in our dog, Bruno. When we first considered hiring a dog trainer, we were hesitant and unsure if our 3-year-old dog could really change his behaviors. Bruno had developed some challenging habits, like lunging at other dogs and people during walks, and he was not very good on a leash. Additionally, he had little understanding of boundaries within our home.

From the very first session in August, Johnny’s kind and nurturing approach put us at ease. It’s clear that he genuinely loves both dogs and their owners. He took the time to understand Bruno’s unique personality and worked patiently with him. Johnny taught us effective training techniques that have made a significant difference in our daily lives.

After just four months of training, we can confidently say that Bruno is like a different dog! Although he still has some learning to do, the improvements we have seen in his behavior have been remarkable. Our walks are no longer stressful, and Bruno now understands boundaries in a way we never thought possible.

We wholeheartedly recommend Johnny Jumper and Bark Busters for anyone in need of dog training. His expertise and compassionate methods have truly helped us build a stronger bond with Bruno, and we are excited to continue this journey together. We had a four hour session which showed us how to solve every current behavior problem with our puppy. Our trainer had us practice repeatedly, and by the end of the first session, our puppy was a different dog. We are currently working to reinforce everything we learned. Our trainer was firm but very loving with our pup and listened closely to our concerns.

WOW!!! We cannot say enough AWESOME GREAT THINGS about Johnny Jumper and Bark Busters. We had pretty heavy issues. My Mom moved in with us and we had 5 yorikis (two were a mix). Mom has sonic hearing and couldn't stand our dogs (especially the one girls) bark. We had our front living area fenced in to keep the dogs from running to the door every time someone came over, or left the house. We just added on to our house and the fencing for the dogs took away from the beauty of our home. The one dog would be the worst in barking uncontrollably and jumping on everyone who came in the house. Plus they would run out the door when it opened. There wasn't much peace at all. So let me tell you what has changed NOW.... We don't have our living area fenced in with a gate all around. We have learned to train the dogs to wait off the landing. NOW when anyone comes over the dogs do not bark and they wait off of the landing until we release them and then they nicely come up to you withOUT jumping on you to greet you. It is so much nicer. My Mom is so much happier and we are happier. The dogs are more calm with the rules and training we have learned. We have also learned to walk them on a loose leash and learned to give them free time. We learned how to call them to come to us on command and this has helped with bringing them in the house. They do not go out the door or come into our room or come out of their bed area until we release them. It is so much nicer and happier and we are forever grateful for the time and patience that Johnny from Bark Busters has given us. He even checks up on us to make sure we are doing ok. Johnny was great! We hired him for our two dogs (2 year old bully F and 7 year old husky F) as they had started getting into some fights and we were worried it would escalate and one day we wouldn’t be able to separate them. Johnny came out and helped us learn the warning signs to de-escalate the situation as well as showed us training exercises to help with their impulse control and show them who they should be looking to for direction instead of having a power struggle between them. I never wanted to do training because I felt like it was mean (not true at all just my personal feelings). I gotta say, since working with, both dogs seem even happier than they were before and it’s only been a couple days. For anyone considering it, dogs really are happier with structure and the mental stimulation does truly help them not have pent up energy. Just 15 minutes a day of training and these dogs pass out for hours. It has made a world of difference already and we’re only a few days in. I can’t wait to introduce these new dogs to the family!
