Sara is amazing! My 5 y/o shihtzu yorkie mix, Paw Paw, had aggression issues to the point of him trying to control every movement and would leave him in danger. I did one-to-one training sessions and Sara educated me and is a great trainer that understands and knows the best approach to get your dog on track.

Sara's methods have truly helped me tame my dog's aggression to the point when I say "no" he respects my command and now thinks twice and backs off!!! Paw Paw would also growl and boss around my 4 y/o german shepherd husky, Lobo, around the house to the point Lobo would have to think twice walking around Paw Paw cuz any minute he can blow up at him. Having him have to feel cautious was not something I wanted for Lobo's wellbeing and even for general safety for both. It's amazing to see this in Paw Paw that he doesnt boss around like crazy anymore, its definitely a huge accomplishment and milestone for me and it is all because of Sara's help on this!!

My dogs can now sit together, near each other without Paw Paw nitpicking a fight in common areas that once used to be danger areas. Paw paw knows command to go to his "bed" which helps me to keep the environment controlled and responds to the "come" command. Just so many little things as a dog owner, was just in need of guidance on what to do. I can't believe how Paw Paw, who once thought he was the king of the house, now has a sense of respect and showcases obedience to me.

Sara really helped me on how to execute leadership as a dog owner with her helpful tips and practical exercises to do at home with my dog. I cannot thank her enough with her patience on my dog and even myself. Sara not only is good with small dogs but big dogs as well as I have a german shepherd-husky mix that she helped train at the same time.

She exerts authority and structure, and I can assure you any challenge you may be going through, she will guide you and help you step by step to get you on track with your fur baby! Highly recommended!!! Please see the photo of my two furbabies being close to one another she has helped me get them to where they are right now thank you Sara!! I highly Recommend to every dog owner out there to reach out to Sara!!!

Sara was recommended to us by a family friend who had recently sent their dog to board & train with her.

Some background knowledge on our 1 year old dog, Kevin. He’s the epitome of the samoyed breed in the full throes of doggy adolescence.
He was an excessive barker, extreme puller, and super stubborn to say the least; basically a nightmare to handle in public. We couldn’t take him to any place new regardless of how quiet it was without him having a MAJOR meltdown (panting, pulling anywhere and everywhere, constant high-pitched shrieking barks). He was always focusing on anything besides whoever was holding the end of the leash. In other words, his engagement was absolute trash (there was none lol). Because of this behavior, we were mostly restricted to neighborhood walks. He also loves all dogs but has no manners and does not respect boundaries so it’s difficult for him to make doggie friends. He would lose his absolute mind every time he saw one during his walks.

We had one private lesson with Sara prior to scheduling the board & train. There’s always some anxiety when leaving your dog with someone else, and since this was the first time Kevin was with anyone besides us or family, we were feeling it even more. That anxiety definitely eased with daily videos on his progress. It also warmed our hearts that Kevin was making doggie friends with her daycare dogs.

We knew that he would likely be one of her more challenging dogs to work with and that two weeks weren’t going to fix all of his problems, but we were hoping it would give us a foundation to start with.

Sara exceeded our expectations by far. At pick up, she spent an hour showing us exercises to work on so we could continue building on his skills. She continues to check in and asks about his progress. We appreciate and are so so grateful for all the work she’s put in with Kevin because it definitely shows.

He’s still the sassy, side-eyeing, stubborn samoyed we know and love but he’s now better behaved, calmer and much more manageable in a multitude of ways:

- We walk mainly with a gentle leader and walking in our neighborhood no longer gives us anxiety. We used to always be on edge because of the unpredictability of a dog or person showing up across the street, but we’re not stressing about it anymore!!
- He was a screaming panting banshee during his evening potty breaks but that is no longer an issue.
- He no longer barks for attention (which was really really annoying)
- He can hold a stay in some public places, even with us walking away from him. Before Sara’s training, we literally never let go of the leash with him in any place because we were terrified he would bolt (which he totally would have done).
- His loose leash walking is SO MUCH BETTER. A more appropriate name for what it used to be is leash pulling. He now mostly walks beside us and is easily redirected if he isn’t.
- He makes eye contact!!!!! And holds it!!!!!!!! It was basically nonexistent but now melts our hearts a lil every time. :)))
- We are able to go to new places and work on his anxious behavior without the full blown meltdowns. We can even walk past people and some dogs without major issues!!! (this is still mind blowing to me)
- My neighbor commented on how she doesn’t hear him on our walks anymore cause Kevin would normally bark and act a fool. I even had a stranger tell me that he was so well behaved, which is absolutely crazy considering where he was a month ago.

TLDR; Sara is amazing. We still have to put in consistent work so her efforts don’t fall by the wayside but we never would have gotten this far without her. To any doggie parent reading this review & looking for help, we highly recommend reaching out!

We initially brought our 4 year old, male Samoyed to Bark and Roll for boarding while on a week long trip out of state. We loved that care was provided in a home environment with a limited number of other doggy pals. We received texts, pictures, and video of the activities our Cloud was engaged in. He received lots of supervised outdoor exercise and had lots of opportunities to play with other dogs.

During boarding, Sara was able to provide us with her assessment of Cloud’s behavior along with some tips to help him with separation anxiety. In speaking with Sara and knowing our Cloud is inconsistent with basic commands, we decided to enroll him in the 2-week Board and Training program. We know our Cloud is quite stubborn and easily distracted so immersion in training was what he needed.

Sara spent quite a bit of time working on Cloud’s focus and attention. She also noted that we entertain our pet so he is always demanding (barking) for people do things with and for him. She taught us that we need to permit him to entertain himself and that he needed to be more comfortable in playing with other dogs.

She worked on basic commands such as sit, look (at me), heel (loose leash walking), down, and stay. We received pictures and video of what they were working on each day. Sara provided tips for us along the way within the video or in voice notes. At pick up, Sara spent an hour teaching the family how to continue to reinforce what Cloud was learning.

Sara has given Cloud and our family a foundation to work with. She continues to reach out to see how we are doing with training. She is available to answer our questions and we will be scheduling for her to visit our home to see Cloud in his home environment soon.

Board and Training was a great investment for us. Having Sara as our trainer is a great opportunity. She is knowledgeable and explains dog behavior so we understand why she teaches certain things. She trains with positive reinforcement and we have come to trust her recommendations for Cloud. We are fortunate to have found Bark and Roll and recommend her for all services offered.

I am not sure how should i start my review since i am full of emotions but good ones.. i wish there was more than 5 stars here so i can select them all. Sara made my hopeless dream come true..taking my dog to daily walks was my dream..i was not able to take him to any outdoor party or restaurant and i had to put him in daycare if we had any guest come over to our house..so he did have all kind of behavioral problems, just name it. He was good at daycare with other dogs but as soon as he saw us, his behaviors were changing..sara did boarding and training with him and now i can't recognize him..i can take him to public places..he sees dogs and he passes by them..i am talking about 9 years old Maltese dog..if you know Maltese breed, you will know they are king and queen of stubbornness..she changed our life completely and now i can enjoy my time with my little guy and he is living his best life..he is not reactive to kids or bicycles and he can ignore a dog that passes by him..she crate trained him and now he eats his food in crate..not only she taught discipline to our dog, she showed us how to continue that discipline patiently..
I am so thankful to her! Just trust her and you will see the magic she does..

Sara is legitimately the very best trainer I have encountered. She was able to adjust some of my 8yr olds habits with east and I have seen her correct several other dog's behaviors in a fairly short amount of time, as we frequent the same park. I highly recommend her. You will be hard pressed to find someone who will care more about your dog's results, but maybe more importantly, its safety while being trained. She also walks dogs now if you can find her with availability. Bark and Roll Dog Training for the win!

Sara was an incredible help for our dog Leeor, who had been struggling with separation anxiety and territorial behavior. Before meeting Sara, we had sent Leeor to another trainer who used pulsing collars, which unfortunately made things worse. Leeor stopped trusting us and became more defensive, to the point where he would sometimes try to bite me or our guests.

Sara’s approach was completely different. She was extremely patient, loving, and caring, and she knew exactly how to help our 5-year-old dog. With a new baby on the way, it was crucial for us to ensure Leeor felt more comfortable and secure. We opted for a two-week boarding with Sara, and she dedicated an incredible amount of time and effort to make sure Leeor got the most out of his training. Now that he’s home, it feels like we have a completely new dog. He’s more loving, affectionate, and listens when we tell him to come, stay, or lay down.

We also took advantage of Sara’s grooming services, and she gave Leeor the best cut he’s ever had. Thank you, Sara, for everything you’ve done for our family. We truly appreciate you!

Sara is a phenomenal dog training specialist and professional. She instantly understands every dog she meets and guides dogs on how they can find peace within themselves and be the best they can be. What we especially love about her is that she worked with us and our German shepherd dog to understand and curb all types of behavior, from resource aggression to recall to jumping. Additionally, Sara does not use the electric collar for training and we preferred to not use one for our dog. Let me say that our dog is a “real piece of work”. We were on the edge of re-homing our puppy due to his hyperactivity which led to a family member's injury, but she reassured us and gave us the confidence that our dog can become a good-mannered and beloved companion. Thanks to her help, we now have that. As an added bonus, your dog will LOVE her. We trust Sarah with our dog, and we'll be using her for boarding services and future care for a long time to come. We highly recommend Sara to work with your dog.

Sara is amazing! My Girlfriend Aly and I looked for a Dog Trainer for our 6 year old Golden Retriever Gabby for about 2-3 weeks before we came across Sara. I believe I interviewed about 10 different Trainers and companies over the phone before I met Sara and as soon as I started talking with her I knew she was the one!
I loved how much time Sara took getting to know me and my girlfriend and what we were looking to accomplish with Gabby. Sara is so patient, so kind, and so passionate about helping you accomplish all of your goals you have with your dog.
We decided to start off with 5 training sessions for Gabby with Sara over a 5 week period and we are so impressed with the improvements and changes we have seen with Gabby's behavior. The biggest things we were looking for Sara's help with were mostly behavioral commands: Sit, Stay, come, catch and release, placement, eye contact, loose leash guiding, and working with Gabby on her attention with Aly and I when we were out on walks and just being more behaved or a better listener. Sara was so knowledgeable and Gabby got along with her right away from the first day they met. Gabby always looked forward to training day with Sara and was engaged during each session for the full hour!
Aly and I are so happy that we found Sara as our go-to dog trainer and we will definitely be reaching out again if we feel Gabby needs any additional help or training in the future!
