I have a Sheppard breed rescue that I got on St. Patrick’s day. She a beautiful dog and very sweet. Although, I was dealing with some bad behavior issues and I was starting to think I wouldn’t be able to keep her. A friend of mine suggested I call Backwoods Retriever Training. Garrett took in Klover for a four week behavioral training program. Towards the end of the program he spent three days training me as well. He took great care to address the issues we were having. I just got my pup back yesterday and she is a delight to be around. I am able to go on peaceful walks with her, and she respects my authority. With this new improved version of my dog I am able to to enjoy her company and not be concerned about her behavior. I could not be happier with her training and her trainer. Garrett at Backwoods Retriever Training is highly skilled and confident in what he does. I will not only be able to keep my dog, but I will have a long time friend and companion. I highly recommend his services. I can not thank him enough.

Garrett has trained many of our dogs but he most recently took our one year old golden doodle who now sits, stays, heels and has stopped jumping. Incredible results. We had an unruly dog that was very aggressive with other dogs. Garrett got him to obey commands off-leash (heel, sit, stay, etc) from my 6yo. He's still got all of his personality, but he's happier, healthier and we have no issues taking him around people or other animals.
