We couldn’t get there until late. So, they were very nice about leaving keys for us and instructions. We had had a long day planning a wedding in Aspen. When we got there we walked around the building to hear a beautiful rushing river. Walked into the room and was thrilled. It was clean, neat and tidy and most of all it had a ceiling fan! I couldn’t have been happier. Plus it was a quarter of the cost of staying in downtown Aspen. It was well worth the drive. Both my husband and I woke up and said “I could stay here again”.

The Aspenalt Lodge is legendary! The rooms are clean with plenty of space, overlooking a beautiful river! The management is very responsive and even reached out to me to make sure we checked into our room on time! Their continental breakfast slaps and it’s super affordable! Only a 30 minute drive to Aspen and a third of the price of any hotels in Aspen! This place is awesome!!!

We were enjoying our stay until we started experiencing issues with our key cards. After the first night, we went to the front desk to have one card reprogrammed. It then worked half the time. The second night, only one card worked, leaving 2/3 of our group to book another hotel due to the time of night and the motel phone number ringing endlessly. Sent an email in the middle of the night explaining the issue and still haven't received a reply. In the morning, neither keys worked and the front desk clerk told us that sometimes the doors don't work if it's cold (it got down to 20, in Aspen, really?) and asked why we didn't climb through the windows!

She reprogrammed 1/2 keys again and it still didn't work immediately after. If you can access your room, it's a decent stay.

Had a one night stay for a soccer tournament and this was the most reasonable place close to the fields. Do not let the humble appearance of the outside fool you. The rooms were very comfortable and super clean. Breakfast, while small, was perfect for a quick start. Over all great stay and will be recommended to any travel headed this way.

The location is perfect. Right in the center and you can easily walk to everything. It felt very safe even at night walking around in the dark. The room was clean and quiet. There is ample parking on site. They even had a nice little grab and go breakfast in the morning. Staff were friendly and helpful. ||We were in building B which seem older but the room was clean and comfortable. My only disappointment was that I thought our room reservation was to have a mountain view or a river view but we only had a parking lot view.

Such a gem on the Frying Pan River in Basalt, Co! The rooms are beautifully modern and have amenities such as refrigerator and microwave and coffee. The sounds of the river lull you to sleep! Highly recommend staying here. Great restaurant right next door too.

We stayed for 10 days as our daughter lives in town and just had a baby. We booked the apartment and found it to be perfectly suited to our needs. It is nicely updated and laid out with a lovely fully equipped kitchen. The beds are very comfy with a nice leather couch in the living area plus 2 tvs. The free breakfast is very good with several options and it’s a short walk to all other restaurants and shops that the quaint town of Basalt has to offer. Easy drive to all surrounding beautiful towns of Aspen, Carbondale and Redstone. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Coming back in January!

I love this place. I have stayed here many times. People are friendly and the river is so lovely. This last time there were some very noisy guests which is unusual so I hope this place stays peaceful. I do wish breakfast included some gluten free low sugar cereal, bread and yogurt. Rooms have been remodeled since I was there in 2018 and they are clean. Its reasonably priced compared to other places in the area.
