I could not be happier about my experience with Art of the Dog! I enrolled my 5 year-old Red Heeler in the behavior modification course to help with reactivity towards other dogs and am so impressed with the results. Prior to AoD, walks were extremely stressful and being in crowded areas was out of the question. Now, we successfully go out in public visiting popular parks, passing numerous dogs without issue. This has been life-changing for both my dog and me, and I am so grateful! The trainers and staff are incredible, and provide ongoing lifetime support post-graduation to ensure that you and your dog are set up for success. I highly recommend Art of the Dog!

I have no regrets about enrolling my pup at the AODK9 Denver location. My 9 month old GSD was struggling with dog reactivity that I wanted to address sooner rather than later. From registration to graduation, every single one of the staff members was so kind and helpful. I loved the daily updates and homework videos they sent. I had a lot of complex questions that were answered promptly and thoroughly. My pup’s trainer was Lindsay and head trainer was Owen. They were both so awesome and I can’t recommend them enough!! I am now about two weeks post graduation and my pup has settled in well. My pup has much better impulse control and the reactivity has improved greatly. Of course working on reactivity takes time but I am confident I have the tools and education needed to continue making positive progress. I am a firm believer that AOD’s structured approach and homework will set you up for success as long as you continue to put in the work post graduation. Post graduation support has also been amazing. All of my questions continued to be answered promptly. Overall I love my experiences with AOD and highly recommend them!

I could not be more grateful for the staff at Art of the dog! I felt like I was losing hope with my Doberman Sadie. She is 5 years old and a good and smart dog, but was so reactive to humans, dogs, cats, and other critters. I had tried so many different types of training modalities and felt like the only option I would have left is finding her a home with someone who had a yard and she wouldn’t have to worry about living in an apartment. We lived in a house before but I recently moved into an apartment and it really made Sadie’s behavior more than I could handle alone. From the moment I reached out to the art of the dog they were friendly and kind and listened to me. They heard mine and Sadie’s story and helped me feel better about the situation and reassured me that they could help and if they couldn’t which is very rare they wouldn’t charge me. I was set to travel when they had an opening for Sadie and they were able to make it happen that I could take her in sooner. I’ve had her back home for two days and I’m walking her on a slip lead with her e collar. I used to have to walk her with a harness and gentle leader with a muzzle on. She is completely different from when I dropped her off. The stress and anxiety I had walking Sadie and her stress and anxiety going on walks seems to have just subsided and we have been enjoying our walks and be comfortable. I’ll repost again after a few months but I am sure with all the support I get from art of the dog Sadie and I will be just fine. I wish I would have done this sooner.

We were at our wits end with our 1.5yo Boxer-Lab Ruby…who we had little control over. Only my husband could take her for “walks” because she would pull so badly; let alone her chewing, destroying toys and just plain naughty behavior.
We heard of Art of the Dog through a friend who had a great experience and I am so happy we did! After 3 weeks, we have our cute Ruby back but she is “new and improved”’ I was cautiously optimistic going in but they exceeded my expectations tenfold!

If you are considering this…do it. It is 100% worth it and has been a total game changer for my family. We are so happy and it has reduced the stress immensely in our home.

We chose to board and train our dog at Art of the Dog, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! When we first reached out to them due to our dog's reactivity towards other dogs, we could never have imagined the incredible transformation we would witness in just three weeks. The trainers and support team were absolutely exceptional. They communicated with us daily, addressing all of our questions and concerns, and we loved receiving the adorable pictures they sent every day!

Even after our dog returned home, their support didn’t stop. They remain attentive and responsive to our ongoing questions, which has made the transition so much smoother. I can't recommend Art of the Dog highly enough—I'd do it a million times over!

Everything with their program from start to finish is first class. Tour, communication, pre-onboarding, drop off, knowledge of training, and graduation has been smooth sailing. We’ve used other academies in other states and this has been by far the best experience. Our pup is super grateful and the training worked as expected. Highly recommend!

Absolutely worth every penny! The team is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely cares about helping you and your dog. We entrusted them with our very reactive border collie, and after the training, we were able to meet at the park and walk him with confidence, feeling better equipped to guide him in making better choices. We take our dog out every day for a stroll in the morning which was something we had already accepted we'd never be able do.

This was an amazing experience. The staff communicated with me daily and kept me update on my dogs progress and everything going on. Dylan, CJ and Zoe helped me out and were extremely kind and caring throughout the whole process. My dog has made immense improvements since I dropped him off at AOD, the results are amazing. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is looking for more obedience out of there dog.
