Before working with Dion, our dog was a handful. She had no recall, no obedience, and taking her out was a challenge every time. We couldn’t enjoy simple activities with her, as she was also possessive over toys and food and sometimes aggressive. I honestly didn’t know where to start. But after working with Dion, everything changed.

Dion’s training has completely transformed our dog. She is now well behaved, responsive, and a joy to take out. We can finally enjoy adventures like traveling, hiking, and swimming without any stress. Her recall is spot-on, and we can even bring her into shops without worrying about bad behavior. We’re also able to take her to work, whether it’s a cubicle in an office or an automotive shop for 8-10 hours, and she is so relaxed. One of the most impressive things is that my husband can leave her in a down at the shop, go on a test drive, and she remains completely calm and focused, even if he’s gone for 30+ minutes. When he returns, she’s still in her down position, completely unfazed.

We’re now able to enjoy all the things we love to do with her, and the bond we share is stronger than ever. I can’t thank Dion enough for his expertise, patience, and dedication. If you're struggling with your dog, I highly recommend Dion—he’s a true game-changer!

I have nothing but great things to say about Dion. 10/10 would recommend. We found him after a pretty scary behavior experience with one of our dogs and he has helped so much. I was nervous to use e collars because I didn’t know how my dog would respond, but Dion helped lay the training foundation before we ever used the e collar and it made such a big difference.

He has a lot of really good analogies to make sure you understand the training principles and has a lot of really good tips to make sure you’re actually implementing them.

One of our dogs is people reactive and the other dog is dog reactive but now we can actually enjoy walks through the neighborhood because the dogs trust us and we know they will listen and how they will respond.

Vickie has also been absolutely incredible and so helpful with all of the scheduling.

With Dion’s guidance, my dog-reactive dog has improved dramatically within just a few weeks. For years, my adopted Frenchie has been extremely aggressive towards dogs, to the point of biting people who get between him and other dogs.

After several months of trying to find experienced trainers, I finally came across Dion. It was so hard to find someone who not only knows how to help me and my dog, but also did not look down at me for being so young.

Dion has always been firm, with both my dog and me (trust me, we need it) but he has never been harsh or unkind. Since the first time I met him, Dion has always cared about not only my dog’s wellbeing, but also mine. I can’t tell you how many times he has offered me an extra pair of gloves or a jacket just because he thinks I am too cold. He is also very personable and you can tell he really listens, and remembers, when you tell him things.

Before coming to Dion, Spike, a decently large German Shepherd, would drag me everywhere, pull me towards other dogs, and growl at people when they would walk by. After the first session of training, Spike no longer pulled me on our walks, but would nicely heel right beside me. Dion helped me teach him how to be patient and gain self control, by teaching him how to sit and watch (he can sit and wait both on and off leash now). Now, after 5 sessions, Spike will heel his whole walk, he can ignore other dogs, and he will nicely walk past people. Not only this, but with Dion’s help, and a lot of practice, Spike can also play ball and heel off leash.

Not only has he helped me with the bad habits I knew Spike had, but he has also pointed out habits that I didn’t even know could be an issues. He doesn’t just point them out, but he explains how to fix the behavior, and real world examples of how the behavior could be an issue.

I would not have been able to do any of this without Dion’s help. I would definitely recommend him if you and your dog need help.

We went through a basic puppy program which left us wanting more out of our pup and really left us with more questions than answers. We found Dion who has taken her to the next level - we were looking for a better heel, better focus, better obedience and overall more well mannered dog, he delivered in just two sessions. I adopted a one year old boxer mix with no prior training from a local rescue in January. Before I started working with Dion, my pup would regularly pull on the leash, approach other dogs without permission, and would rarely if ever come when called. Within the first two sessions, he was well behaved on our walks and I was even able to take him on a backpacking adventure in the Rockies! We adopted a large breed puppy and immediately knew we were going to need help with training a dog who eventually got bigger than us! Lol

We called Ancillary k9 and Dion helped us with pointers throughout the initial few months of puppy stages. Then when our boy turned 6 months, he started training with Dion. Our dog responded immediately and was easily trained. He loved "doing his tricks" and has been a gentle, loving, giant ham sandwich ever since. This giant cuddle bug is a BIG clumsy boy, but his temperament is sweet, loving, gentle and protective of humans and other animals. Our boy is sensitive, well behaved, and knows more human words than most adults I know!!! You can let an infant give him treats and play or pull on him without a second thought because he is so gentle... We attribute all of this to early consistant training with Dion. Thank you for teaching us humans how to speak to communicate with our dog properly!

As far as training goes, the sessions are easy and it's all about repetition and discipline for you and your dog. I was hesitant to use either of the training collars. But Dion put them both on ME before he put them on my dog and showed me how they're used and how they're annoying but absolutely humane. I was very grateful he was patient with me during training, and our dog absolutely loved him. This big, goofy, spoiled, lazzzzyyyy boy is so well behaved because he took his "manners" classes with Dion. Thank you Ancillary K9 and Dion 🤙🏽
