Alyssa is wonderful! Even before our puppy was old enough (to have all of her shots) to be in group classes; Alyssa came to our home and helped us get a head start on training our sweet and very hyper puppy. We then continued in Alyssa’s group class. She is thorough and the recommended reading she gave made it easier to understand how certain exercises and experiences would help our puppy down the road. Four years later our girl is the best dog ever and is the most patient with our kids. Be sure to ask Alyssa about soft mouth training, especially if you have kids! Also instilling a leave it command. We now have a farm and even though she’s a retriever, she leaves our chickens and ducks alone because of her training! I cannot recommend her enough!

Alyssa was such a strong influence in the training of our puppy. He was so unruly and wild. After spending an hour a week with her and us working on him at home, he is now the most well-behaved and complimented dog I've ever seen. Highly recommended. Thanks Alyssa!

I have taken 3 private lessons from Alyssa with my 3 month old Border Collie. I have a nerve condition that makes it extremely difficult and painful if a dog pulls on leash so it was really important that he learned how to walk politely without pulling. All 3 sessions were extremely beneficial. We worked on different harnesses that could help, nose targets, and leash training which were all helpful for walking my dog. Not only is she a fantastic and upbeat dog trainer I really feel she heard me, my goals, physical limitations and concerns. She easily came up with training solutions, daily homework plans and helped me teach him not to pull. I highly recommend Alyssa!

Our family was able to work with Alyssa in a group setting when we brought our Brittany puppy home in 2023. He was a challenge and pretty disruptive in class, and Alyssa always kept her cool. She’s really knowledgeable of positive training techniques and was somehow able to offer everyone in the class what felt like 1:1 training despite it being several families. She’s clear in her instructions and really encouraging even when you get frustrated. We watch Arlo progress leaps and bounds while we were enrolled and I’d highly recommend her as a trainer.
