Vinnie Harris is a skilled dog trainer that owns Advent Retrievers. He had our girl Sadie for 3 months, teaching her the skills to not only be a resilient bird dog but a reliable companion as well. Ensuring that she was well-behaved and responsive to commands. One thing that really stood out to us was his calm and collected approach to training dogs. We feel as though his approach was a positive learning environment for the dogs, making the training process more enjoyable for both the dogs and their owners. Obviously it’s hard to let your pup go for awhile but, It was truly a joy to watch our girl be built into a well rounded hunter with great obedience skills. He took amazing care of our girl and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for training. Thank you so much Vinnie!

We are very happy with our little Lab Zoe! Vinnie and Alexis did a great job with her! Vinnie’s training methods are unique and effective. It’s amazing watching the dogs respond to his cool and calm teaching style. Zoe has all the skills necessary to be a great hunting dog and she’s also a sweet and lovable house dog. She gets along with kids, our cat, chickens, and other dogs when we go visiting. We wholeheartedly recommend Advent Retrievers to anyone who wants an outstanding dog that can do it all!

We entrusted Vinny with our pup Bo for 5 weeks for puppy training. Bo came home not only an awesome beginner duck dog but also an incredibly well behaved house dog. We loved Vinny’s patient and kind approach and the fact he meets each dog where they are and doesn’t have a one size fits all training approach. We were able to come out weekly to monitor Bo’s progress and to learn ourselves. We highly recommend Vinny!

Hands down the best experience I have had with a trainer and received exactly what I was expecting from my pup when she was returned to me. In 4 months my pup is sitting, staying, placing, following hand signals, understanding the whistle, honoring other dogs retrieves, steady when shot around and the list only continues. Vinnie kept me informed of progress, sent a few videos and offered several times for me to come out and run sessions with with my pup to see the transformation of her. I can speak highly enough of Vinnie’s technique, training process and outright care for Tullie while he worked with her! Thank you for everything!

Vinnie is a great trainer! He was Very knowledgeable, and I feel like he really cared about my dog. His communication is great, he always responds to texts and phone calls, and sends weekly progress updates with pictures and videos.

I am very happy with the progress my dog made while he was with Vinnie. If you want your dog to turn out to be a badass you should have Vinnie train him. You won’t be disappointed.

After you get your dog back from Vinnie he makes himself available for any questions you may have and your able to come out for handling sessions.
