A Fetchin Good Time -

Ashley has truly saved our lives by training our Pitbull Ace, who’s 7. Ace was impossible to walk, as he pulled every which way and was very heavy footed. Ace had no sense of personal space, and now we have the tools to show him when it’s appropriate to snuggle and also how to “turn it off”. Ace would greet everyone by jumping on them, giving as many kisses as possible. We haven’t seen him jump up in months!!! Truly has saved our mental state and now we can have our friends over without worrying about him. Ashley taught Ace how to LOVE his crate and honestly he prefers it. We will find him in it randomly through out the day which is something he didn’t do before we went to her. Most importantly Ashley worked with both my husband and I to feel confident with working with Ace. She is so knowledgeable and explains it so well. I truly can’t recommend her enough. Guess you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

I recently got a high-energy rescue puppy, thinking it wouldn’t be that hard to train her on my own, and boy was I wrong! I quickly realized I was in over my head and put out feelers to local trainers. Lucky for me, Ashley of A Fetchin’ Good Time got back to me and she was just what I needed! She is not only a thoughtful, practical dog trainer, but she is sensitive to the needs of the owner. We did private lessons and a period of board-and-train, in which I was involved daily. As new issues arise, Ashley is available for further sessions, and I feel like she’s a partner in my journey. Before we started working together I had been considering returning my pup to the rescue - now I’m on my way to enjoying my time with her, and pretty confident she’ll grow up to be a happy, well-behaved dog!

Ashley is a fantastic trainer! We have a very feisty schnauzer and we were feeling overwhelmed when it came to his socialization/training. Ashley provided simple instructions and guidance and it has helped quite a bit! We will continue to use these tips for his daily training sessions. I would recommend her to anyone seeking a knowledgable dog trainer in the 29Palms/Joshua Tree/Yucca Valley area!

We’ve been taking our molly girl here for hourly training and she absolutely loves it! She has learned so many things like place, heel, walking with a stroller next to her, containing her excitement, waiting at thresholds and more. She has made such great progress here and at home. Communication was always clear, the rate was more than fair, and she always went above and beyond with Molly and with helping us practice at home. We would recommend her for anyone looking for a trainer or dog sitter - they will be well taken care of!

Ashley was the BEST decision we could of made for our 2.5 year old German Shepard! We had been wanting to get Athena into training for months but we were scared that no one would be able to handle her extreme reactivity/she would be too old to learn. Ashley talked us through all of our concerns and made us feel extremely comfortable + confident in our decision to have Athena do a 3 week board and train! During the 3 weeks, Ashley sent us continuous updates about how Athena was doing and explained step by step what she was doing so that we would have the proper tools to continue her training once Athena came home. I can confidently say Athena is WAY better after returning from Ashley’s board and train. We have already seen amazing progress with her walking manners, including smaller reactions to things that would of totally set her off in the past and her place training is something we have always dreamed of! We honestly can not thank Ashley enough for the time/patience she took while working with Athena! If you have been debating booking any type of training for your dog, I would recommend Ashley 100 times because she is absolutely worth it!

She helped me learn how to work with my German Shepherd and have a better relationship with Sassy. 10/10 would recommend.

I am am so very blessed that we found Ashley. She has helped me to create a bond with my pup who was very nervous and becoming aggressive towards my other dogs. I was so scared and worried that if things didn't get better we may have not be able to keep him but I couldn't give up. We sent Vinny to board and train with her and was the best decision we could have made for him. He has come so far and has learned so much. I have learned so much. It's been about 2 months and he has come a long way. Though this will be a life long journey for the both of us, I don't think I could have done this without help. Ashley was always available to answer my millions of questions and patient with me and my concerns. Her knowledge and dedication is amazing and she really knows what she is doing . Ashley was great. She seemed very knowledgeable and patient. Our pups really took to her and I would definitely recommend her as a trainer.
