I brought my dog Lillia here when she was a puppy in 2021 to do puppy training and off leash/calm mindset training. It was the best decision I could’ve made! The staff is amazing and have always treated Lillia great. I moved from IL to WI and still bring my dog to them for refresher training and boarding when I’m on vacation. I know two of the trainers that Lillia had are no longer with the business (Erin and Brenda) but all of the staff I’ve been in contact with since have been great, especially Trisha ❤️ I would recommend bringing your dogs here for training, boarding and daycare if you want the best service. Thank you to everyone here for how you’ve changed my dogs life. She is literally THE BEST 💕

We chose a closer bond because of a glowing recommendation from my sister-in-law, whose dog had trained there and showed remarkable improvement in behavior. Seeing how well-behaved her dog became, we were excited to enroll our own puppy, believing we were in good hands.

However, our experience turned out to be quite disappointing. We paid half the fee upfront for a two-week training program, but things quickly went off track. After just a week, our dog developed a cough over the weekend, and we were abruptly called and told to pick him up immediately. At the time, we were out of state, and the center informed us that if no one could pick him up that day, he would be taken to a vet hospital at our expense. Thankfully, we managed to find someone to retrieve our dog, but after that, we received no updates or instructions regarding when the training would resume or what steps to take.

Unfortunately, there were no improvements in our dog’s behavior after this incomplete training. We’ve since moved out of state and requested a refund, but they have not responded to our request. Not to mentioned that we are now in December and this all happened in August.

While we were initially impressed by the success stories and had high hopes, our personal experience left us frustrated and disappointed. We hope this feedback helps the center improve communication and consistency with future clients.

Everyone is wonderful in caring for my dog and teaching her good behavior. It is very clean and my 10 month old has been going since about 4 months and Loves it there. She gets so excited when we pull in the parking lot!! Highly recommend you try them out!!

I have had beyond the best experience with a closer bond. I have board and trained two dogs there, one of whom is reactive and one who is going to be a therapy/service dog. Their trainers Sarah and Alyssa are amazing. They have been beyond supportive in their continued training and I do not have the words to express how grateful for them I have am!

We've been taking our dog to A Closer Bond for almost a year now and we cannot imagine a better team for our pup. He was four years old when we started, and was afraid of almost all people, other dogs, the wind on most days.. since then we've seen him just melt for every trainer at ACB and get more comfortable with most things. We started taking him also to the daycare in January and he has gone from nervous to separate to not even looking behind as we drop him off. He has found his home away from home and it's such a comfort to have. So grateful to the team and highly recommend for any age dog. They give results through care and patience. Everything your dog needs can be found at ACB.
