The near by home that surround the camper sight people of color well let's just say it that are not white , be aware they will yell the Most hateful things to you we are in2024 and I am sure that this is how your homes are being paid for by the locals or non local using this area . Will not recommend due to that reason. Over all the event was well worth it and would never regret that . But I will differently let other followers know about this area in California if you have other options please do your research before you choose this location.

Don't bother coming here unless you want to pay for a miserable time. The host drives around in his golf car looking for the sound of fun just to shut it down. Came out here for labor day weekend with family and right when 10pm hit, he came around and told us to "be normal" and go to bed. He also yelled at us for using the power outlet to pump our air mattresses up. The kids decided to have a water balloon fight and he came out to tell us that it's illegal. We have been camping here every year with family for 13 years, some of us drive 8 hours just to be here. Seeing how bad it has gone down, I will not be returning. Not to mention the camp sites were full of weeds and twigs and trash. Where is this money going to that we are paying for the camp sites.

Had a nice campsite somewhat removed from people. Went to bed early. There were cockroaches in the morning but nothing crazy. The second night a family camped across from me. They were loud and trashed their site. Not a campsite problem as much as it is a people who go to this campsite problem. Seems to be a recurring theme in the reviews. Friendly staff. Both caretakers I met were incredibly kind and helpful. Clean bathrooms!

There are NO FLUSHING TOILETS OR SHOWERS. They took them out a year ago and replaced with portapotty. But they are very clean and maintence on them is awesome!! Rattlesnakes are in the tall grass by the lake and lots of ant farms - so don't park your tent on them. Views are gorgeous.

Great no frills campsite. The bathrooms were older but clean. Showers weren't working (probably due to Covid). The camp host was really friendly. The sites are situated so you get some privacy. You don't feel like you are on top of one another. We found a great spot surrounded by trees. The best part was the peace and quiet at 10pm. Not sure if I should give credit to all the other campers or the camp host for making sure the noise stopped but at 10 exactly it fell silent. Slept great. Highly recommend!

So for our Summer camping trip my husband, daughter and I went to Lake Isabella, Tillie Creek Campground. We wanted to have a relaxing camping trip to get away from the stress of everyday life, but we also didn't want to drive too far. I have been told by many people that the area is nice and that we would have a great time..... it was horrible! It was very hot, I expected that since I did check the weather before we left. It got extremely windy at about 3pm and the sand pelted us so bad that we had to leave the lake and go back to the hot and mosquito ridden campground. We couldn't even use the bathroom there because there were so many mosquitos inside, my daughter was scared. We took a walk around the campground and everytime we moved, we could feel about 5 or 6 mosquitos hitting our face, amrs, and legs. We went bacl to the campsite and had a fire, not ot enjoy it, only to smoke out the mosquitos so we could eat. We finally decided to go to bed. It stayied hot all night, it was miserable! My 4 year old daughter was sad that she couldnt sleep inside her sleeping bag! We woke up after an uncomfortable night, packed up and headed to Big Bear!

We camped here Memorial Day Weekend mostly because it was one of the few campgrounds with site reservations available at the last minute. The campground is in a decent location on the shore of the lake. Some sites are close to Rt 155, so can have some car noise. Sites are generally pretty well spaced and decent size. It can be windy, but our site seemed more sheltered than others. The bathrooms (shower, flush toilets) were overused (not enough for the # of campers?) and pretty dirty as a result, although they were cleaned at least once a day. There were some port-a-potties near the entrance that were quite a bit cleaner because no one was using them. Our toddlers liked the playground area and riding their bikes around the part of campground where the campsites were closed. There was a large, loud group at a nearby campsite that was making noise well past the start of quiet hours, but nothing too unusual for a holiday weekend.
