I called Kate in absolute desperation! My son brought home a puppy pitbull mix to our very stubborn husky. They hit it off right away but our puppy took over our hearts and our home instantly. He had no boundaries, didn’t listen to anyone, thought everyone and everything was his personal snack! I called Kate several times before we hired her convinced I needed to rehome the puppy. She so patiently assured me his behavior was completely normal and correctable! Kate came into to our home and showed nothing less than patience and compassion. She trained our fur babies and our family! She answered every questioned we had, explained everything to us in depth so we understood the reasoning behind her techniques. Did I mention her patience? Saint like! I don’t know who was harder to train, us or the fur babies, but she did it all and always with a smile.

We reached out to Kate shortly after adopting our female Newfoundland puppy, Maple, for help with obedience training. Due to Maple's large size, we knew we were going to need help with our ability to manage her and that's exactly what Kate helped us do. For those that are interested in utilizing this service, it's important to remember that not only is Kate helping train your dog, but she is giving YOU the tools needed to train YOUR dog. Her extensive experience is notable and she is capable of doing everything that she says she can in addition to providing direct feedback and holding you accountable (your dog will too). I adopted a 4 month old shepherd mix from the pound and once he was full vaccinated I proceeded to look for trainers in my area. I called around and noticed there were several different types of trainers in my area that wanted to keep and kennel my dog for over 30 days. This idea wasn’t something I was comfortable with because not only did it separate me from bonding with my newly adopted puppy it also took me out of the equation all together. Don’t be fooled by companies who will take your dog and keep them kenneled for weeks without you being present. I proceeded to interview with a few different companies until I found Kate. The method of in house training was exactly what I was looking for. She immediately set boundaries with my dog the moment she stepped foot in my home and taught me how to train him with love and respect. If you are looking for a trainer that will give you the tools to bond with your dog while learning obedience Kate is the person to call. The fact that she understands how to communicate with my dog and shows me exactly how to correctly communicate with him as well makes all the difference to me. Kate will help you train your dog and as long as you continue working with your dog and repeat the lessons she teaches you will definitely start to see improvement quickly as you bond with your dog in the comfort of your own home. Honestly I didn’t know what to expect going into the training process but I can say that i will continue to recommend Freedom Walk to anyone who wants a hands on approach to bonding with and training their dog at home. We have a malinois x we got at 8 weeks. By 12 weeks she was uncontrollable. I contacted Kate at Freedom Walk Training and we set up weekly dog training for my dog. With Kate‘s help We went through the obedience commands, and I learned a lot about my dog along the way. She answered so many questions I had even though I’ve had dogs all my adult life. Her years of experience are evident in her training and her patience is incomparable with a very difficult breed. We still have a lot of work to do, but I feel that I have learned tools I need to continue. I highly suggest using Kate if you’re looking for a dog trainer.

Kate is the best dog trainer! Her expertise, commitment and dedication to her profession, has helped us understand our puppy. We are new dog owners, and sought Kate for professional help to train Levi, our St. Bernard. Kate is Thee best dog trainer only 3 weeks and my 2 dogs one is 3 years old and the other is 5 months which she helped me find as a service dog in training I cannot express how much she really speaks to dogs and her knowledge is immeasurable!! Kate did wonders for my pup! My wife and I were on the edge of giving up our dog due to a bad experience with a board and train. Luckily my wife found her information, and within a few sessions our pouch had turned into a well mannered dog! She's very informative, thorough and provided alot of structure for dogs and their trainer, 10/10 for sure!
