The owners and staff are very knowledgeable about all things birds, have a great selection of pet supplies from local area and name brand vendors, and are very personable. As a long time customer ourselves, we have purchased six birds from them; four babies and two re-homes, and use them for our pet food and supplies as well.

What really sets them apart is their overall dedication to the adoption and long-term care of the birds. It's why they opened the business and it shows with their overall dedication to these critters.

If you are a first-time bird buyer, they are more than happy to speak with you and educate you on anything birds to ensure that a bird is the right pet for you, find the best bird species that matches your personality type, and how to care for the bird over the years.

When it comes to supplies, they are very competitive with online retailers but more importantly carry a great selection of toys, sprouts, supplies, etc from local vendors who are bird people.

Once you own a bird, you learn how important this really is ensuring that the food and diet your bird eats is keeping them healthy, the toys you provide to the bird are safe, and the cage and environment you provide for the bird keeps them happy and sane. Online retailers and corporate pet stores care about profits, bird people care about birds and will always give you the best advice and products to support the birds.

For us, we come in about once a month with all of our birds to let them visit the staff, check and see if they need their nails trimmed, wings trimmed, and just get a second opinion to see if everything looks okay with the little guys. We pick up some bird supplies, chat for a while, and we're on our way until next time.

This is why we are long-term customers of theirs, as no online retailer or corporate pet store will run the full gamut of bird care as these folks will, and albeit in just one visit.

Parrotopia is the greatest! A family owned business with owners you'll get to know and interact with. Great folks with plenty of solid knowledge who take really good care of their animals. We board our birds there, we get spa treatment for our birds there and we've adopted a second chance macaw that I love so much. Prices are competitive, so don't shop Amazon, visit Parrotopia.

Staff is just awesome. We have adopted a few birds from there and have always found the birds to be healthy and well cared for. The owners are very friendly and treat everyone like you're a friend just hanging out. The staff is very knowledgeable.

Very knowledgeable, huge selection. Fantastic prices compared to anyone around. They have a few rare ones you won't find elsewhere and if you did they'd be 25%-50% higher in price.
The majority of their birds are hand fed tame.

Love love love!!!! We had parrots growing up and then, as adults, when I had my child, we didn’t have any, but we always wanted more. My kiddo is finally old enough and decided to visit this place since it had good reviews. So glad we went!!! Very knowledgeable, super friendly, great selection! When we first went it was still small (before the remodel) and even when it was small they made sure all their parrots had time on the floor interacting with people. They took their time explaining everything and were super patient. Their birds are very well handled, all are friendly, staff is well informed, we’re always greeted happily, and we couldn’t be happier with our nanday conure. We’re so happy, we went back to get another parrot (currently waiting for him to be old enough to bring home). Prices are fair, (for example, food and toys are about the same price on Amazon, so you may as well support a small business in your town) they have fresh food for your parrots, their always willing to give advice and take time to explain things, and all in all is always a welcoming atmosphere.

Update: we got another! Love that they always take care of our baby’s when we go out of town, and are quick to respond when we have questions. I added pics of our new addition, an Indian Ringneck. We named her Luna.

I brought my bird in today to have her nails cut and the man that did them was too rough. This man caused my bird to bleed and didn’t even do a good job. Some of the nails don’t even look to be cut and he cut the one nail way too short which resulted in her bleeding. He rushed and he didn’t do his job correctly. When i got my bird back she seemed terrified. She wouldn’t move from the corner of her cage and wouldn’t let me hold her. My overall experience was terrible. He told me it was Natural but how do u accidentally go too short when the others aren’t even close to being that short?
