David is a truly engaging and fantastic trainer who clearly has forgotten more about dog training than I will likely ever learn! My head was practically spinning with all the advice he gave me for my anxious dog, but the techniques are memorable and practical. He also followed up to see how things were progressing and if I had further questions, which was a very helpful checkin. Even if your dog doesn't have issues but you want to help them live their best life, I'd highly recommend spending a session with Dog Gone Problems!

David was wonderful. He is extremely intellectual about all the psychological parts of dogs behaviors and is a true dog whisperer! Our pup loved him. He helped us so much during our 3 hour training and we left feeling confident and knowledgeable. David was patient, dedicated, super friendly, and customized the session to our needs and wants of what we wanted to accomplish. He even challenged us to go out in our everyday environment and practice hands on. It was definitely the best part of the training rather than a lecture or app since he was able to help us hands on. we ended the session with new skills that we know will help our pup live a beautiful and happy life We are very grateful- I highly recommend David for any services and would definitely book him again when the need arises. David is so creative and patient! He helped me with my 8 year old Queensland heeler to work on some tips and tricks on how to have him not jump on people as they walk in the door, as well as other helpful tools.

David was so great at taking the time to really explain the reasoning behind why our dogs behave the way they do, making it easier for us to understand why we need to teach them structure and authority. He's also been extremely helpful and responsive to follow-up questions I've had after our session, and I think his continued guidance is the best part of his service!!

David really knows his stuff. It's been 4 days since he was here and I see a marked improvement in my dogs behavior. The session wasn't about getting my dog to do or not do things... that's the natural result, but it was about understanding how my dog interprets my actions and responses and learning to act and respond differently so that he wants to do what I want him to do. I have a VERY high energy 8 month old frenchie/ maltipoo who is also a heavy chewer. It takes a lot of practice to change the way I work with my puppy and David's been super available to support as anything comes up. If you want to actually understand your dog, how he/ she learns and interprets what you're doing, David's your guy. My puppy is now learning to respect me as his leader rather than just obey commands.

It's only been a few days since I met with David but I feel confident I'm getting great guidance! The best thing about his training? He teaches you ways to train without ever saying "no!" It's all about rewarding them for positive behavior, and using some motions/body language to show them when they're not quite getting it right. David seems to have similar theories to ones I've heard over the years (positive reinforcement, counter conditioning, etc.) but he's giving me a clear, concise way to address the issues and a tailored plan for my pup, Nellie. I'm so excited to see how the next 60 days change everything. Nellie is 95% amazing and I think this will get her to 99.9% 🙂
P.S. She was unsure of him for the first few minutes...but clearly fell in love quickly.
