We were hoping to love Metropawlitan since they have great reviews and we had a lovely initial consultation, but were disappointed with our experience after that. We communicated a specific time range for our puppy’s walk but the walker arrived ahead of the requested time. During the 30 minute walk, the walker only took our puppy about a block which doesn’t seem nearly far enough for what we’d hoped it be. I think our biggest concern was that we’d communicated that our puppy was in training and should only watch as other dogs pass, but in the walk report we received the walker communicated that our puppy said hi to several dogs which is something we asked not to do due to training and also illnesses going around. We reached out to share these concerns, and did not receive a response.

We have used Metropawlitan Petsitters many times, for short and extended periods of time. Jude and her team are highly responsive, professional and treat our pets like family. I work full time from home and have for many many years so the pets are not accustomed to being left alone. We always request overnight pet sitting along with mid day visits.
We've had several different sitters over the past few years and each one has been extraordinary. When we return the animals are calm and content. They are happy to see us but they do not seem upset that we were away.
The cost is comparable to the fees charged by kennels and catteries. Plus being able to keep our pets in our home and not stress them by going to a kennel reduces anxiety for us all.
We fully trust Jude and her team members. We can travel with complete confidence that our pets are in safe hands.

I cannot say enough about Metropawlitan and their staff! This is the first puppy I have needed a walking service for and reviewing several options. I took a leap of faith with this team.
They have exceeded my expectations with professionalism, reliability and care for my puppy. Whenever I have a question, I am responded to quickly. My puppy was sick, they rushed her to my vet for me to meet them. I needed Someone to come and sit with her when she couldn't go out, not a problem! Isabelle has been our caretaker (walker is not a proper description, she does so much)
My puppy is so excited to see her, will wait by the door for her if I am teleworking, and loves up on Isabelle upon her arrival. I know she is loved and in good hands.
I only rate 5 stars because there is not a 6th, 7th or 8th!

The people are seriously the sweetest and kindest ever.

My cat Rosie is basically family, she helped me through a rough breakup and a difficult move to the DC area. She got quite sick after a bad experience with Rover and my vet recommended Metropawlitan as an alternative. Carol did a spectacular job with Rosie while I was out of town for a week long conference and did things such as keeping a close eye on Rosie's food intake and bowel movements as well as taking lots of pictures and giving her lots of pets. I'll be a repeat customer for as long as I live in the area!

I hired Metropawlitan Petsitters to help me out with my two cats while I recovered from major back surgery. I can't say enough good things about the entire experience. They sent a sitter to my place to discuss my needs (I wish I remembered her name) and meet my kitties. From there it was easy to confirm the days I needed help through their online booking. Two sitters assisted me during my recovery and both were fantastic. Reliable, knowledgeable and friendly. You could tell they loved animals. Initially I only contacted them to assist with pet care but they went above and beyond to help with household chores since my mobility was limited. Even though I was in the house I would trust them with my pet care even when I'm not there and will be sure to call them for any future pet sitting needs.

Everyone I’ve interacted with has been top-notch. Jude, the owner, came over for the first time to meet our dog. I was impressed with her work ethic and her interpersonal skills. The dog walkers themselves have been wonderful. They’re very good with our elderly dog and diligent in sending us updates and photos after every walk. There are many dog walking companies in the area and I feel fortunate to have found Metropawlitan.
