She is literally a wealth of knowledge when it comes to animals, specially and thankfully German Shepherds, a very powerful breed. Her work with our 2 GSD’s has been life changing for us. Thanks to Lori, I can confidently take my pups nearly anywhere now, which if you knew my dogs “before Lori” you would have said “impossible”! Beyond her amazing training skills, she truly cares for the dogs and their wellbeing. A prime example: she was with my female rescue for about 10 minutes into our first training session when she spotted her ear problem (I was literally at the vet once a month for this). She knew exactly what was wrong, gave me solid advice, products to use, food to feed + turned me onto a vet who treats the problem, not the symptom. She literally changed my dog’s existence with that advice, and that’s before the training even started. I highly recommend Great Life Dog Training to everyone I can!

About a month ago, I passed by a couple with an exceptionally well-trained Akita and asked, "Who trained your dog!?" They handed me Lori Miller's business card.

I'm delighted to share that Lori's expertise has transformed my golden retriever's behavior. I loved our board and train experience for three reasons: 1. I trust her 2. Her team is warm and welcoming 3. She emphasizes real-life training.

First, I trust Lori thanks to her 26 years of experience as a state-licensed guide dog instructor. Her daughter Hanna has grown up training dogs, and together, they have more than three decades of professional training experience. When we first met, I noticed my dog immediately calm in their presence, which is another testament to Lori and Hanna's expertise.

Second, the family-owned and operated nature of their business creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They sent video and photo updates every day, which I very much appreciated because I felt involved in the training process from day one.

Third, much of their training takes place out and about, and they use a variety of training techniques such as e-collar and prong collar training, pressure-on-pressure-off, and positive reinforcement. The practical element of practicing at restaurants, in stores, and in and out of the car is so important because it tests dogs in new ways every day.

I highly recommend Great Life Dog Training!!! I adopted a 9 month old Labradoodle 2 weeks before a big trip I had planned. I was told she was house broken and well trained. Unfortunately, it was not the case and I needed to do something. Lori Miller from Great Life Dog Training trained my sons dog years ago and she graciously took in Lucy last minute for a 2 week board and train. I could write a book about Lori and Hannah and the impeccable program they run!! Not only are they incredibly professional but also super caring. They went above and beyond not only for Lucy but for me as well. Checking on me and still guiding me even after I’ve left them. Lucy was completely out of control before going to Great life Dog Training. Although there’s still work to be done being that she’s still a puppy, it’s so rewarding to see the drastic difference! We recently adopted my 2.5 year old GSD from a shelter and within weeks I knew she needed to be properly trained by a professional. Not only did Laurie and Hannah train my dog to be more obedient, they helped both of us become more confident! The transformation I continue to see in my dog is amazing. Laurie’s knowledge of dogs is incredible. Great life dog training helped me to successfully navigate situations that would have otherwise made me nervous, not just by training our dog commands, but providing me with the tools to succeed. Even after completing our training, she is a phone call away if I have any follow up concerns. It is very apparent she loves her job and takes pride in helping families create better lives for their pets. Her professionalism and communication was top notch as well. What a great team and what a great dog we got in return! Peter is a Scottish Terrier and spent two weeks at GLDT. He came back having forgotten most of his puppy annoyances and has been a great companion. Great in the car, on walks, with company, on trips to the store, etc. We tell all our friends about Great Life!

I brought my unruly free spirited Lab/Weimaraner mix to Lori at Great Life Training and it has absolutely changed my life. This dog was an adorable destructive terror prior to board and training, and since then, she has been a patient obedient member of the family. She no longer rushes out doors, wanders into the street, takes after other dogs, or chew furniture or non dog toys around the house. The sanity restored in my house is easily worth the cost of training and I will absolutely bring any future dog I get trained by her.
