Kathy worked with us to help us with our dog’s general behavior.

We unfortunately did not find Kathy first and experienced some of increase in our dog’s problems. Kathy was super supportive and understanding, she was very patient.

We have a stubborn super smart dog that is family, however displays some behavioral issues that are not acceptable. Kathy was very helpful in teaching us how to respond to situations and how better to communicate with our dog Zelda.

Kathy gave us many tools to use including lessons, videos and of course verbal explanations.

I highly recommend Kathy, you can not go wrong. Money well spent ? forever grateful to her for the knowledge she gave us.

I worried about our ability to handle our Staffordshire Terrier. He was impulsive, combative, non-compliant, and very energetic! Thank goodness for Kat! Our dog is still very energetic and somewhat impulsive, but she has given me tools to modify those behaviors. She is patient with us humans and our dogs! The group training sessions have really helped me identify trouble areas and work on modifying behaviors (mine AND his!) If this rating had 10 stars, it wouldn't be enough for Kat! RW works hard for me when he's in class!

We had just welcomed a new puppy into our home and our 8 year old lab wasn’t impressed. I was so nervous and concerned about how he was growling and overall not taking kindly to the new puppy, so I called Kat and she called me back within a few hours. Kat has tremendous skill in working with both dogs and their people. As a fellow dog trainer and behavior consultant it can be challenging finding a trainer with the skill set necessary to work with reactive dogs to refer people too. Kat has both the credentials with knowledge and the practical hands on skills to work with these difficult cases. She is also wonderful with puppies and I enjoy knowing when I refer clients to her in her area that I am sending people to a qualified and skilled trainer who stays current in her knowledge continuing education and inclusion in multiple training organizations. The Redding area is fortunate to have a trainer with the experience to handle the biggest and toughest to the smallest and sweetest dogs. I have met with and worked with Kat one on one and it has always been a joy to see her true love of the dogs she works with.

Kat Camplin (Romping Dogs) is a fantastic trainer. She is very creative and very good at crafting solutions that will work for you and your dog. Kat clearly explains the training concepts so you can apply them to other training issues as they arise. I was competing in AKC Obedience and Rally with my little Miniature Pinscher Mix but could not progress because my dog would get nervous and distracted and would run out of the ring during the performance. I had only done traditional training using both corrections and rewards. I had never tried Positive Reinforcement Training. I did not think that it would work for competition. I began to work with Kat and she taught me how to train differently and more effectively and to understand how to build confidence in my dog and a joy in the work. We were able to meet my goal of completing a Rally Excellent title. Through Positive Reinforcement Training I have rediscovered the joy in training again and am now training a new competition dog using the methods that Kat taught me.

I adopted a very challenging rescue poodle mix in 2014. Not only did Kat coach us through levels 1 and 2 of obedience, but she also gave us some special training that allowed darling Miss Ellie to travel in the airplane cabin with me from LA to Portland, Maine! Can’t say enough good about Kat and her skills with both dogs and humans. If I could have moved her to Arizona with me, I would have ;-). Best of luck, Kat!
