The good reviews of this place are all fake accounts/people. I have heard horror stories of this place and as a dog caretaker/Hiker/massage therapist in the LA area I’m appalled that they are still in business. Do not take your dogs here

The trainers do not care about your pet they only care about your money. In their care our 2 girls got K9 influenza and pneumonia. We found out by our vet there was a K9 influenza outbreak in Los Angeles county and they should have been aware being a facility that boards dogs and trains dogs. Our dogs had to be quarantined for 60 days and we spent thousand of dollars getting them the care they required. During this time not 1 person from the facility ever reached out to ask how our girls were doing. I later requested a refund of the balance of the contract I was told they don’t give refunds. I asked for a copy of the contract I signed (which I asked for it when I signed it and was told they would email it to me and never did) but they refused to give me a copy of the contract. They are dishonest and don’t care about your pet. MONEY is what drives them.

I don't know about the quality of their training but I can assure you that in the middle of a pandemic one of the trainers is not taking it seriously. This morning I stopped to pick up coffee at the Starbucks on Plummer and Shirley. I noticed the dog training company vehicle. It caught my attention because I have a lab puppy who we'd like to get into training classes. I read the information on the vehicle. When I came out of Starbucks the trainer (his picture is on the website) was walking back and forth on the walkway in front of all the businesses having a loud phone conversation NOT wearing a mask. I went out of my way to avoid him and walked on the parking lot. I yelled that he should be wearing a mask. He repeated what I stated. Not caring. He started to laugh. Who knows they might be great trainers but attend at your own risk since at least one trainer is not adhering to protocols.

On October 5, 2021, I received a phone call from Master Dog Training/Royal Dog Academy informing me that Indy, our puppy, had been hit by a car. I asked if he would be okay and the trainer told me to just come to the vet. I hung up the phone and headed to the vet.

When I arrived the main trainer, Basyro Maxim, and someone from the company were standing outside. As I approached, they both lowered their heads before telling me that Indy was dead. Before I could fully process it, a security guard who was standing nearby came over and told me he had observed the trainer running behind Indy trying to get him before he was hit by a car. My heart broke into pieces as I thought about how afraid and confused our beautiful puppy must have felt. I took a few breaths and listened as Basyro Maxim began to tell me what happened.

He told me that he was walking Indy when Indy tried to bite him, before slipping out of his collar. My gut instinct said this wasn’t true. Indy had never shown any signs of aggression toward people or dogs. Instead of calling out what I knew wasn’t true, I continued to listen until someone from the vet office came out and gave me some papers to sign before asking if I wanted to see Indy. I went back and pulled the cover off and saw our beautiful puppy laying there. He looked like he was sleeping. I felt the tears coming but held them back as best I could, because I was tired of crying. I had just buried my brother and now our puppy was lying here dead. .

This man was a cold hearted liar and a cruel human being. When I called the trainer, an employee or representative answered and immediately switched the story up, and said Indy tried to bite a pedestrian before turning on the trainer. I could feel bile welling up in my throat as their team spit out this horrible lie. Indy was beloved in our community by our neighbors and their dogs, both big and small. Everyone who has ever been to our home raves about how loving and friendly Indy was. The fact that they were basing their lie on a stereotype about Indy’s breed (American Bully) vexed me to no end. As a black man in America whose life has been shaped by stereotypes, that was the last straw. I could not stand by and allow Indy’s life and legacy to sullied by a business owner who lacked compassion for our family.

After months of encouraging Master Dog Training/Royal Dog Academy to do the right thing, we finally got the report from the Insurance company. In the report Basyro Maxim said Indy got out of gate, ran into traffic and got hit by a car.

We believe the Master Dog Training/Royal Dog Academy company is riddled with cruel, lying, heartless people and should not be in business.

This place would not respond to phone calls or emails. A machine or person would always say they will call back. They do not. Have still not received certificate of course completion for first course. Signed up for next course at 10, 000$. We cancelled because they said they have mentors/trainors all over and they do not have any in our area. They have not refunded the money and return none of the calls for a refund. Complete failure as a business.
