My dogs and I met Pack Method Prep trainer Emma and I (we?) were immediately impressed. I had just adopted a 3-year-old Maltese. (I have had 5 rescued Maltese.) He came to me totally untrained, blind in one eye, wobbly and very shy. He didn't even know how to walk on a leash; he just laid down and wouldn't move. I anticipated a long process. I had worked with numerous trainers and have been always been dissappointed -- until Emma. She clearly had had a lot of experience, and was a joy to work with. And she understood the difference between training tiny and large dogs. We made amazing progress in just a few days. I highly recommend her.

We were paired with Jackelyn to start training our puppy since we got her home at 8 weeks. She has been nothing but outstanding on showing us the ropes of puppy training (we are brand new pawparents). Needless to say, dog training is really human training, jackelyn has been so patient, responsive and explains things in an easy way to grasp. She has really made a huge difference in navigating raising a puppy and we cannot recommend her enough.

When we took home our puppy we knew we wanted her to grow into a well adjusted dog, so we started looking into nearby training classes. At the time we didn’t have any clue about types of dog training (positive reinforcement, balanced training, etc) and just picked the one that had openings, which was Pack Method. We got so lucky! Ashley Larsen taught our puppy class, taught us about positive associations, and set us on an amazing path with our dog. She was available to do private training when a specific problem arose, and then we followed her to the doggy daycare she worked at as well. We’re happy we made that choice, as we found the doggy daycare to be much better than a chain one we had gone to prior. We also tried balanced training with another trainer for a moment and learned quickly it was not for us - positive reinforcement and working with Ashley gave us the best results and helped us bond with our dog. I highly recommend any dog owner to check out Pack Method for their dog. They also make it really fun for you as the owner!

This place deserves more than 5 stars! We've done the 'Reliable Recall' class as well as a private lesson with the trainer Emma. She is amazing. The recall class was great, started with baby steps and works up to being able to recall your dog off of distractions and such. We are now able to confidently let our 11 month old dog off leash at the beach knowing his recall is reliable. I'd highly recommend them for any dog training needs!

Pack method prep has been instrumental in helping our dog be well rounded. All of their classes are fun and trainers are so helpful in answering any questions we have. We also worked with Ashley Larson for specific issues; Ashley was amazing and extremely knowledgeable during the 1-on-1 sessions with our pup. We now understand our dog’s needs better after Ashley taught us about dog body language and how to encourage, praise, and enrich our dog’s daily life!

Great training with excellent instructors. I’m convinced that Emma is part canine! She can tell what a dog is thinking just by the expression on his/her face! I’m kidding, of course, but my yellow lab rescue fell in love from the first session. He couldn’t wait to get to class every Saturday morning and, once released from his safety belt in the car, would run into the classroom to see Emma and Kierstin and beg receive a treat for good behavior.

The instructors were in complete control of multiple dogs and did a great job of teaching the dog moms and dads how to communicate with our puppies and teach us owners how to request and reward behaviors both verbally and with hand signals as appropriate. Having learned the basics, it’s easy to move on to other, more complex behaviors using the tools we learned in class.

My animals are much happier and less frustrated with their ignorant owners and are simply thriving with their new skills and improved communication with me and my family.

Outstanding job Emma and Kierstin! Finn, Luna, and my family thank you very much for teaching us how to enjoy dog ownership and living life together as equals.

We have done both group and private training with PMP. We are currently enrolled in group training for Pack and Play and are learning a lot about our puppy and her behavior. We had our last dog for about 15 years, so it great to have a refresher course on having a puppy again and learning the tools to help her become a really good girl!

Our experience with private training brought it to another level, and it was nice to have the one-on-one time with our trainer Jacquelyn. Our puppy is a rescue, so we decided to do a private lesson before signing up for any group classes since our puppy seemed a bit skittish. Upon arrival, Jacquelyn noticed the nervousness from our puppy and took the time needed to get her comfortable. She shared some valuable information with us on how to deal socializing and other questions we had regarding our puppy's behavior. We also had the time to start some basic training techniques, and it helped us feel a lot more confident in understanding how to recall, leash walk, and teach our puppy some basic commands like sit, down, here, and drop it. Jacquelyn was a great teacher and took the time after our lesson to see how we were doing and answer any questions. We will definitely be scheduling more private classes with her once we are finished with our group class.

All the trainers we have met at PMP have been awesome and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone!
