I feel so lucky to have found Casa Luna and Heather. Her knowledge, experience, delivery and true love for all our 4 legged babies is from the heart. Through my limited work with Heather I have learned how to really "read" my dogs and I pay so much more attention to what they are feeling and trying to tell me. I recognize my dogs body language which has changed my communication with them. I luckily discovered Heather and Casaluna Canines 1 1/2 years ago when Rubee was 6 months . We had taken all the other puppy classes in town and I spent many hours online training myself. Heather's approach is unique in that it focuses on the human-dog relationship and the dogs brain (verses their behavior). It would not be an understatement to say this approach has changed the entire trajectory of my relationship with Rubee. Understanding her behavior has decreased MY frustration and helped me be more clear and patient. We took 2 rounds of Doggie Decorum and now are enjoying the playground! The playground is essentially the coolest outdoor "agility-like" course I've ever seen- unique and colorful and fun. We are learning important real life skills (building confidence and coordination, human-dog cueing, and focus amidst other dogs , people and stimuli (hello goats!). Heather and Alan work so hard and are sincere, silly and super knowledgable. Highly, highly recommend!

Heather’s place is a special haven for dogs! Ruby has been going to doggie daycare and she loves it. Heather works with her clients (both the humans and the dogs) to best understand each dog’s personality and unlike many daycares she provides activities and exercises during the day to ensure the dog is stimulated both physically and mentally. I highly recommend Casa Luna Canines and will be using Heather for some targeted training once the weather settles.
