We did a lot of research before buying a board and train package here, especially for our dog who has a lot of anxiety/reactivity. Key factors for us were that the owner is a canine behaviorist, flexibility to split use of package time, positive reinforcement training only, and option to have them pick up and drop off. We had a great experience with everyone at YPDT - and felt confident that our dogs were in great hands (clean and safe environment with knowledgeable staff) during their stays while we were traveling. They will send you videos and text updates during their stay. Staff are also super flexible and willing to work on goals that you set. Our dogs love this place.

I cannot say thank you enough to Your Pro Dog Trainer. They treat every dog like their own. The training didn't stop when I picked my dog up. YPDT sent me home with homework and checked in regularly. Consistency was key and ultimately led to phenomenal results.

I have taken my dog, Bailey, twice to YPDT. The first time she was a puppy and needed help with just basic training. As such a young puppy I was nervous sending my dog somewhere and yet they made me feel comfortable immediately. They set clear expectations, loved her like their own and only used positive reinforcement. I got regular updates while she was there and they checked in multiple times after she was home. I was blown away with the results and set myself and Bailey up for success moving forward.

I took her back recently for a new barking habit she had picked up. I was feeling lost on how to address it. The team was incredibly informative on this behavior and met Bailey where she was at. I'm happy to say that the behavior has improved greatly.

YPDT is an investment well spent. My husband and I are very particular with our dogs ( we even hate to call them dogs.. they are more our babies.) We don’t have human children, so our dogs are our children. Both of our fur babies go to work with us every day. When we brought our youngest female pup home, she gave us a run for our money. We worked with a few local trainers. We are big on POSITIVE reinforcement. They helped, but there were still things that we needed to address that I wasn’t able to accomplish without getting frustrated and overwhelmed. We had discussions about sending Zoey to YPDT for a few years.
Finally, we decided it was a MUST. If we wanted her to walk nicely on a leash, not jump on people, and listen when we wanted her to “leave it” or come when called. So we took a 13-hour drive from Idaho to California. I couldn’t say goodbye because I didn’t want to cry. I couldn’t think about her sleeping in a crate because she had only slept with us since we brought her home at eight weeks old. I only knew that I needed to give her the tools so we could enjoy the rest of our lives together. I am not going to lie.. It was hard! Leaving our baby for four weeks was tough on all of us. YPDT was AMAZING!! Before we were even out of town, we received an email with an update and a picture. Every 2-3-4 days, we would get updates with videos, text messages, and notes letting us know how she was doing. They even asked what type of treats motivated her. I was able to send her a care package with some special treats. The progress that we saw in Zoey was remarkable as each week passed. We missed her more and more every week. But the weeks started to fly by, and we became increasingly excited to get her back. The day finally came. We flew into town and rented a car to drive her home. Fast forward, it’s been a month since we have had the new and improved Zoey. I still train with her twice a day. Training is walking her on her leash. We play the “look” game. She is the same ole’ silly Zoey, but with manners ? no more jumping on people, our walks are not stressful, and work is a breeze. I no longer have a gate in my office. I can leave the door open, and she won’t run out whenever she hears someone talk. Hands down, YPDT has made my life so much better, and I know Zoey's life is 110% better. Thank you so much! When I didn’t think it was possible to love her anymore, my love tripled! Thank you YPDT! You are the best ❤️

When we realized our 3 month old puppy Moose wasn’t ready for a week long trip in Yosemite, we were thankful to find Your Pro Dog Trainer and their board and train program. They answered all of our questions and made us feel at ease in making the decision to leave our new puppy with them. They sent regular updates and photos during his stay. We were given homework to continue his training at home. Upon returning home, we quickly realized our pup was much more focused and receptive to following our lead. He has also shown increased socialization skills with other dogs and people. Your Pro Dog Trainer even followed up with us regarding our pup’s transition upon returning home. I highly recommend them. They seem to have it all figured out and are truly worth every penny!

Renee was my dog, Harrison's trainer for a month when we went away for vacation. She updated us with his progress every three days and sent us pictures of him. She also brushed Harry's teeth every night. Nothing makes me feel better knowing he's so well taken care of. Harrison came back a different boy. He's much calmer, stopped pulling during walks, stopped jumping on our young kids and so much more. Renee also sent us "homework" on how to maintain and keep working with Harrison to prevent regression. We can't thank her enough.
I live near Pasadena, CA so I am quite far away from Your Pro Dog Trainer but they provide pick up and drop off with a very reasonable flat rate fee. Harrison LOVES his trainer and was sad saying goodbye to her for now. We will always chose Your Pro Dog Trainer to train our dog because they treat your fur baby like their own.

Mochi has consistently gone to Your Pro Dog Trainer and the results are amazing. I’ve never was able to successfully take a dog to any restaurant without them trying to jump on table or constantly beg for food. The staff at YOUR PRO DOG TRAINER is amazing and give really good feedback to me.
Anytime I had an issue with Mochi about behavior they have helped me tremendously… even when he didn’t want to eat his kibble. They helped me. I will forever be grateful. It’s the best investment for sure. I can proudly say I have a 5 month… almost 6 month old puppy. Funny people ask me if I sedate him… lol. Um no lol. Mochi just has wonderful trainers.
